Any help would be appreciated.

I am midway through my project and I am going to cut my 71 cruiser in half right behind the door. I am going to stretch it about 2 feet.
Has anyone done this or had experience doing this? Is there anything I should know? It looks like the body way in a couple of pieces and it looks like...
yu do have a point and I have 3 brothers with blazers, but if I am going through all this trouble to make my cruiser a sweet crawlin/street machine, then I am going to hand it down to my son.
I am putting in a 454. I am not too into the 350's. I want the power when I need it and lots of it. I had a 350 in an fj40 before. It was a nice power up from stock form but it still wasnt enough.
I am planning on getting an aluminum radiator built with electric fans on it. I also am trying to figue out a way of getting my ac unit put in also. I am adapting a gm ac fan on it so the air and heat will be massive.
I am not worried by it being longer since I am stretching it. I have a great deal on a th400 and I found an nv4500 for $50. It just needs the fork to be replaced.
I just think that cutting it and adding is the best way to go. I am just putting 20 inches into the frame and body. I havent decided if I am going to move the rear axle back yet.
well, I had a 350 in a cruiser before and it wasnt enough. When i go boggin and climbing I was the extra power when I need it. Plus I want to be a bit different with things, everyone has a chev 350, you dont hear about 454's very much.
Thanks for the pics man, thats awesome!
I have a 71 fj40. I have the tbi 454 that I am wanting to install. Is there anything that I should know before doing this? Is there a thread for a chevy big block install? My friend just got me worried becouse he said I will have to do a ton of stuff to make it fit.
Also will a set...
I am going to stretch the frame and body. I have decided to go about 20 inches behind the doors. I have sold the cruiser axles and am going all chevy. I am looking into shortening the axles just so there not out there too much.
I think I am getting alot more from a 400 than a 350. Why is it classified as being bigger and stronger then?
I think that I am going to stretch out my frame about 10 inches to make everyting right. I want atleast a 13 inch driveshaft and this is the only way. I am seriuosly thinking...
I am looking for pics and info on stretched 40's. I a really seriously wanting to do it, I just want some info on it and see some pics. What do you think I should do. I am thinking about stretching it between 10-13 inches.
I am trying to make a trade for my nice cruiser axles for a none rusted body. I am really thing about throwing chevy axles under aswell. I am going to use this as an all arounf vehicle. We go trail running often and to moab every year, but I also want my wife to drive it. It already sprung...
