I have a 2 wd 95 Tundra, I use it to tow my boat and camper. I like it. it's an SR5 and does not have very many options. The rear window is great for backing up when towing and hearing anyone that is helping you.
Lucky I guess. In 1997 we were shopping for a 4runner. Top of the line would of ran us around 37k, and seated 5. Looked at ford expolders and said no way!
Driving through Hemet I saw 8 white LC's at the dealership. I pulled in and asked to talk to the sales manager.
I asked if he was willing...
I had one mounted on the trailer hitch. It worked but when I put on bigger tires (33's) the spare would not fit because of the wiring harness.
So I have hidden mine up above the spare, in hopes to never tow anything ever again.
We were out there in Nov. It was nice. Started on old dale road. Some of the trails to the south have washed out pretty badly, but nothing too bad.
Golden egg mine (I think that is the name) is a neat place.
picture is pre lift & tires.
thanks D-dude. already been to Shugrue's, great place, plus they let you dine in you swim suits. Nothing like a nice steak dinner, and chics in thongs!
Thank you.
We have been going to LHC since 93 for boating mostly. We got a house up there a few years ago. My wife just got a great job near parker so we're moving. I looking forward to kicking up some dust out there. I just got my backcountry adventures book for AZ and found some trails close...
Saw someone in a chevy 2500 pulling a trailor with a good looking 40th annv. on the it. They were heading north on the 15 fwy in San Diego, Friday about 2:45 pm.
