‘08 Sequoia Tailgate Latch/Switch Not Working - Part Numbers or Experience With This Problem?

Hi, funny I just did this repair Friday night. The rubber button just got hard and was not responding, partly due to the cold New England weather too. Easy to replace and dont forget to clean and lube the locking mechanism. Mine was sticky and half the problem. Oh, word of advise. Make sure you...

    Intermittent starting issue

Get a new battery cable and ground cable kit. Someone on here sells them. There are like 2 or 3 fat ground cables. Cant hurt to try. After 25+ years its good insurance anyways. Hand full of times ive been overly frustrated and it was a simple grounding issue. Wish I checked that first. See...

    Clunky 1FZFE startup

No dont drain the coolant. Just have the new sensor ready to go back in quickly. Im just saying that there is a ground wire kit out there. Save you a lot of time vs building your own ground wires.

Worth a try. A ground cable kit might be a good idea too. Theres a guy on here that makes a nice kit. Good grounds make everything happy.

Had the same issue last year. Was a bad temp sensor on my rig. Computer thinks the truck is still hot or something when starting so its in like a lean setting when first starting it.

Thoughts on taking the cab/ body off

If someone was to lift the body to change out the 10 bushings, how high could you go before getting into trouble? A few extra inches could help get a wire wheel brush or scrapers to clean up rusty areas and paint.

low rough idle on cold starts

a few years back I had a funny sputter and stumble when starting my 96 and did a bunch of stuff to it like you. Turned out after doing my O2 sensors and asking my mechanic buddy to plug in the ob2 to monitor the O2 he told me the temp sensor was bad. Was giving false readings for the first min...

    Intermittent Starting Problems

I immediately thought ground wires. Double check your grounds. One on the trans too. Might look good on the ends but bad further in the wire. Some one here on mud sells a good kit.

One last observation was that the power steering felt lumpy. Like if you turned full left to full right every hf turn had a very noticeable hard soft hard soft spots. Power steering fluid was at correct level but did look cooked brownish. Ram issues? Or fluid issue? Anyone else experience this...

Was an interesting but successful trip. We made it there and back no issues. 38hrs there and 31hrs back. Lots of stops for gas food and potty breaks.
