I have a KDSS without Nav. It is the best combo if you can find one. At the time there were three regions of import for Lexus (West Coast, Gulf Coast, and East Coast). The East and West Coast importers only brought in the GX Sport with Nav. A small number of GX Sport models were imported to...
Not quite today, but in the last week.
Replaced radiator.
Replaced brakes.
New Geolander GO15s (265/70/17)
Non-nav head unit with Pioneer NEX-8200.
Now the Unicorn GX470 Sport has modern nav and entertainment.
This is an old post, but I'm getting around to putting a rack on my GX and want to finalize the selection. I have a Pioneer platform by Rhino-rack available (76" x 54"), but the recommended size for the GX is 76" x 49". I would be using RLCP legs if I go this route. The total out-of-pocket...

Upon Startup, you'll also notice a KDSS light illuminate briefly on the gauge cluster. Non-Sport models are not commonly equipped with KDSS. They are out there, but not common. I cannot comment on the number of KDSS models in 08-09.
I have purchased a small camping trailer with RTT. Weight is under 700 pounds. Trailer is in Burke VA and needs to go either to Phoenix or Flagstaff. Timing is flexible.
Very Respectfully,

Glad you're OK. Your signature line indicates Hefty aluminum front & rear bumpers. How did the bumper hold up in the impact? We would love to see photos of your truck with the Hefty equipment on it.
I was intending to stay stock, but when mine failed we went to coils. Will at Sierra Expeditions knew that I wanted to retain as much of the Lexus ride as practical, but have new shocks in the process as my truck is approaching 150K. Here's the combo that worked. OME2895E spring, Fox 2.5"...
We did not use the Metal Tech 4x4 kit, but my experiences with Metal Tech have been great. The invoice from Sierra Expeditions shows a spring retainer, but the brand is not called out.
We are using the Metal Tech sliders on the GX and have had a lot of favorable comments about them. Kyle at...
I just changed out my airbags for springs and shocks. Ride is GREAT. I did not want much of a lift. Will and his team at Sierra Expeditions nailed it. Here's the list of parts. Ride is still very smooth like the air suspension. My GX does have KDSS. If yours does not, perhaps the handling...
All fixed thanks to Will and his team at Sierra Expeditions.
Air bags deleted, yet the ride is remarkably smooth. It feels like 95% stock, which is what we wanted.
Lift is about 1.5". We love the result. With the number of spring and shock combinations out there, the outcome could vary...
The symptom is that the system will have deflated while the truck is sitting (sometimes). Once the ignition is on, the air springs may or may not inflate. If they inflate, all is good. If they don't the truck has only the shocks for suspension (ie no suspension).
