OK.
I'll bite.
The why is to give a proper response.
My question then is, what's the bore difference between the two?
If its the same, you gain nothing other then reworking linkage and possibly lines. If their diffrent you effect travel and force.
I built one of those out of an old stainless water/fire extinguisher. I put white lithium grease in the pump gears to prime and force oil through everything with the extinguisher.
The Summit racing one is way nicer then mine.
You should have seen what is called "witness mark's". either shiny or most likely little blast marks. When I see a wire like that, I know its been arcing for quite a while. It just wasn't bad enough to blow the fuse. Just because of the issues I've had with (non Toyota) fuel pumps melting wiring...
I built something like that to throw in my Cruiser. Last year, I put a bunch of lithium's together, dumped the whole thing in a pelican case and made it portable. For decades I ran an alternator/arc welder. I like the spool gun much more.
For the price, the Bun Welder is not bad. That spool gun...
I want to add, the shims are for vibration damping/anti squeal. How much grease is based on a bunch of factors. Most OE have their own preferences. One extreme example was a ford design (cant remember years/design). If you ran the ford pads and didn't "liberally" pack the shims (big slots), they...
I run the air lift 1000's. My buddy runs the firestones. Don't remember the part numbers. I remember when I got them, there weren't a bunch of options at the time. I didn't order them by vehicle. I looked up the size in their chart because I needed a bit longer.
This. ^^^^^
Nothing worse then having to search through "Its already been asked" a dozen times. What's worse is when you find the info, its outdated with broken links. I was told a couple weeks ago here, that McGeorge changed owners and their prices changed. Too bad if someone search's you'll...
I run a about a 3" Dobinson spring (dont remember the number). Good support and articulation. Inside the spring I run poly style air bags for when I tow my trailer. For me, this is the best of both worlds. I've been told, if I'm hard on the truck, the poly bags will tear. Not only am I brutal on...
Those resistors get real hot. Anything on them will burn off. I've had customers with paper or leaves stuck to them. If your hands were oily when you installed it, that could be what you smelled. Once in a while I would get a new one that smelled the first time I tested it. Never take it out of...
One would think that the "Diode" part of LED would keep it from feeding back but, no. Some are worse then others. This is why some lose cruise control during turn signal and (or) headlights on. It thinks you stepped on the brake.
Mine came with 245/75 16 and I went to 265/75 16. A bit taller and wider
It doesn't like 6th on the freeway under 70 any more. It will drop back and forth to 5th if the grade changes or my foot changes. I leave it in 5th on the freeway and no higher then 4th on streets. It doesn't bother me to...
Ahh, your just down from me. The biggest issue I had with mine was the head. It took five months. My buddy just got a new short block from Toyota and he had the head done at Valley Head. I think it was less then two weeks. When it comes to local dealers, order online from Longo and pick it up...
Depending on what part of so cal you live in, finding a good machine shop is going to be difficult. The few that are left run 3-6 months behind. I live in Ontario. If your near me at all, Valley Head will give you a good turn around on that. Engine wise, all the good shops I know of around me...
Did you replace the low pressure hoses. You said high pressure, just checking. If not, a hardened suction hose can pull air past a tight clamp. I have seen this many times over the years where people just replace the pressure side. Pretty much anything on the pump suction side can cause what you...
