Looking for JDM to USA Toyota Paint Code Translation

I never thought of what a 2 tone OEM Toyota paint code looked like, interesting. I'm only slightly familiar with the 60 series cruiser colors and they have one beige and 2 champagne #s. Beige: 464 Champagne: 48E (bronzish) and 27G (silverish). You might have better luck trying to pick the...

    Considering bj series purchase

Yep, my BJ60 can do 70 mph in 4th gear and it weighs about 5,000 pounds. A 5 speed and a turbo are coming up as soon as I have some extra cash laying around. Great motor, built to outlast its owners, but a bit unrefined for some peoples tastes.

    Considering bj series purchase

A BJXX will have a 3.4 litre 4 cylinder diesel, neither of the 2 you are talking about have that engine. The HZJ73 would be an awesome rig, the other sounds like an LJ..I would choose the HZJ over most B and every L model myself.

    Painting over rattle can primer

I wouldn't do a thing unless it kept me up at night, then I might wash and wax it. From now till fall probably the worst that will happen is the paint will fade a little more in areas without clear.

    BJ62 quarter panel dent repair

You really need to get down to bare metal somewhere nearby to establish a solid ground. I have seen some guys use stranded copper wire stripped of insulation under their clamps when having contact issues which seems like a good idea.

Blasting, primer, what about the rust damage?

Sounds like a good deal on a nice looking color scheme, I want to see some finished shots once you have it complete.

Blasting, primer, what about the rust damage?

Bondo sucks for filling holes, its pretty good for small imperfections though. Be a champion and cut that rust out and weld in new metal.

    rust, wheel well arch

It doesn't look great but its hard to tell what you are looking at until you get it down to bare metal. Bubbles under paint typically point to needing to cut the bad metal out and patching in new or replacing the entire panel or door or whatever if you want it done right. Since you are wanting...

Inner rear wheel wells replacement panals?

I don't see where it would save you time or effort if you had access to a welder. Plug welds are easy and quick.

    Diesel Parts Suggestions/Requests

Affordable cable lockers or complete axles, suspension seats, vinyl floors, barn doors. I know these aren't diesel specific but these are hard to find items in North America and I would love to see them more commonly available.

Can Some one recomend a shop that is excelent troubelshooting fuel "Vancouver BC or Bellingham WA"

The only places I would consider letting people wrench on my cruiser have all been mentioned. EDIT: As far as this area goes at least, I'm sure there are fine shops in other parts as well.

Cargo area carpet adhesive. Remove or not to remove?

That can be easily patched if that's all the rust there is. I'm curious what the floor and the rest of the wheel well looks like.

Why Pantone? I'm assuming you are looking for a close match to stock Toyota paint using "C" (coated) color codes?
