Passenger Marker lights
I noticed that someone inquired about this, but was wondering if the passenger side marker lights are still available?
If so, I'll take them. $50? plus shipping to 92115.
Thanks,
Matt
I need the driver side fender for a 60 series. If you have one you would like to sell or just want it gone or know where a parts yard in SoCal is that has a cruiser...I'm open to all options.
I'm in San Diego. I would prefer to avoid paying shipping on something so big. So someone local would...
I don't know where you're at in the PNW, but over in Ballard/Fremont on Leary near the Fred Meyer, there another rig that looks just like this parked at a shop all the time.
Today was the day I was going to finish the knuckle rebuild with the passenger side. And apart from jacking half the threads on my last wheel stud while installing it, everything was going fine. This side was the worse off of the two.
At this point I'm thinking this can't be a good sign.
And...
ducks- It was just a big press in the shop. Rotate the handle, the press goes down.
As to the grease question: it is Penzoil Premium Wheel Bearing Grease 707L Red Grease. By the number of people who immediately noticed my noob mistake, I'm sure it's not the right stuff, but I think I'll leave...
The dvd is from a member (elmariachi I think). It shows the complete rebuild of a knuckle on an 80 I think. It has the narration explaining everything too. Great tool.
I read a couple of threads on here arguing about OEM studs vs. NAPA studs. I went with NAPA. They had two different lengths of...
I hadn't slid the birf all the way in yet, so it just looks like it's packed. Once I popped it all the way in, it was only about 1/2 full.
Wrong grease?!? Crap. Should I go back in and clean all this stuff out and put something else in there?
Almost done. New rotor. New studs.
Here you can see some dents left from some previous work from a previous owner. Nothing major.
Overall, the biggest PITA was seating the new studs. A BFH didn't really do the job. An impact wrench didn't do it. Finally had to press them all in. All in all...
Finally some pics. I didn't take too many since this repair has been well documented. Just some starting point shots and some finished shots with a couple in between.
Just starting...

To all of you who take the time to post up the info that the rest of us use. I just went through the initiation of the knuckle rebuild. Actually only the driver's side today. I'll finish the other side in the morning.
Without the information and write ups on this forum, I would have let this...
Bull-
If possible, I would like the driver's side front fender and both bumpers if they are fairly straight. All three of those items are crunched on mine, so...
I'm just over in Ballard, so I can pick up and even pull the parts. Please let me know. I'll be out of town until Thursday...
Finally got the Ironman installed. I was one of the people who purchased this on eBay way back when. But deployments and training have kept me away from any real work. But a buddy and I pulled it into the shop one night and just went to town on it.
First, holy cr@p were those frame pins hard...
I was browsing Craigslist tonight and came across this. It's not mine and I haven't called about it, but I'm sure someone on here can't fight the addiction.
