The problem is that Toyota has little to no control over these distributors. Most of the US distributors are owned by Toyota the two exceptions to that are Gulf States Toyota Distributors and Southeast Toyota Distributors, both of which are independently owned.
Because they are not operated...
I believe that most states use the date of purchase, meaning the day the truck transfers from their possession to your own, as the date of tax assessment. Meaning if you receive the truck after Sat you should expect 7%, even if you prepay for it now.
Sounds like you just described me  If you havn't yet you should check out the Capital Land Cruiser Club Really great group and once things calm down a little for me I plan on being a lot more active.
I totally disagree. I bought mine from them an paid the internet price. They offer a "value price" which is a couple hundred more and includes oil changes, loaner car etc... Becuase of my distance to the dealer (40 miles) I didn't think it was worth it. I told them I was paying the internet...
Sorry to hear that. The rear locker is a stand alone option and doesn't require anything save buying a 4x4. That being said, I don't think Toyota has built/sold one without the Conv package yet. The link I posted before was for www.fitzmall.com All of their FJCs are about $1K under MSRP at...
Wow that seems high and I own one. My local dealer had a 4x4 MT (standard rear locker) with the conv package and alloy wheels with an MSRP of $26 and mine is a AT 4x4 with conv pkg, upgrade pkg 1, side airbags, trd exhaust, rock rails and hitch with an MSRP of $30K.
Here is an auto with...
The 17" alloys are a $650 upgrade. The 16" TRD wheels w/BFG AT KOs are $1,599 but you can get them from www.trdsouce.com or www.trdparts4u.com for about $130 each ($650) and put whatever tires you want on them. Plus, if you do it this way you get to keep the wheels and tires that came with...
Have not wired mine yet. I have almost drilled the roof (under the channel covers/trim) 3 times now but I still think Toyota has a way of doing this without drilling and decided to wait for their roof rack light install instructions. I'm probably wasting my time
Here are 275/70R17 Goodyear MT/Rs. I have taken it offroad and tried to articulate the suspension as much as possible while turning and have not rubbed. I don't think BFGs come in this size but if so, they should pose no problems.
Basic,
What unit did you look at? The D1, pictured above, fits fine as long as you use a trim kit ($10). The Z1 also fits by using the same trim kit.
All of the eclipse double din units will fit as well, again using that same trim kit.
All makes of the units discussed allow...
The D1 and it's replacement the D2 have a DVD drive that is used for the Nav disk and a CD drive that is used for music. Neither unit's DVD drives' play DVD movies, they are there soley for supporting DVD navigation.
The Z1 is a nice unit but to me it was not worth the heafty price...
Guessing you are talking about this post? https://forum.ih8mud.com/showpost.php?p=1172064&postcount=2
The install of the eclipse is almost identical to installing a Pioneer Z1. I later removed and returned the eclipse and installed a Pioneer AVIC D1 and the only major difference was that...
