I Just Drove One - It Is Pretty Nice

Sitting in one at the KC Auto Show last weekend, I had plenty of headroom. About 3-4". I'm 6'4" w/34" inseam. Way more headroom than my '03 4Runner. How well do the large sideview mirrors eliminate the massive blind spots while driving? Sitting in one at the car show, it seemed as though...

There are a couple of good locations 1.5-2hrs outside of KCK. The first is Tuttle Creek near Junction City. The second is the Kansas Rocks park near Ft Scott.

That's why I didn't mention the 60/70/80s... :) With the options you could get on them from the factory, they were tanks off the assembly line. Not really too worried about body damage. Hell, I've gotten more body damage in parking lots from other vehicles than I have on trails.

    Fair Price for a '76 FJ-40?

I'm completely prepared to walk away. I'm not afraid of a fixer upper, helped a friend restore one several years ago. I'm finally to the point where I've got the disposable income to have one as a toy. Just don't want to pay way more than I should. All the money I can save up front means...

    Fair Price for a '76 FJ-40?

Hey all, Just joined this forum. Looking at buying a 76 FJ-40 and wanted to find out a reasonable price for it. Here's what I know about it: Entire drive train is stock. Has 127K miles on it. Nothing on it has been rebuilt yet. 4WD system works great, rear shackles have been...
