Unfortunately I will not be able to make it this year. Was looking forward to taking my stock 43 but due to some good life changes, I just won’t be able to pull it off. With that said, if anyone needs a KOA site, send me a PM and we can coordinate. Site 58B from 7/31-8/6.
Picked up a used Metal Tech Jackson cage a year ago and finally got it to the shop to get it fitted and lengthened. Hopefully picking it up early next week. I was 100% going to just have it painted black but now that I see the white I am torn...
No tech to add but just an endorsement for @Toyo8696 if you’re looking for a mechanic in Atlanta/ North Ga. Great work and honest guy that will shoot you straight. He has kept the family fleet of 100 series (01’,03’& 06’) on the road for years now.
When I first brought the :princess:‘s ‘01 to...
I traveled to Bogota, Colombia to personally look at my FJ43. Looked at a couple and I agree with everyone else here, puts your eyes on it before you buy it. They were work trucks down there that no one saw value in until recent years. For every dozen for sale there may be one that is worth it...
The cooling system flush that i started two weeks ago snowballed into new water pump, radiator, hoses, clamps, thermostat, power steering pump, belts and a remflex gasket. Best part was no leaks after Idling for an hour (followed by a test drive) and no left over bolts during clean up.
Thanks for taking the time to document that. I bet an fj80 bracket and pump would bolt right up. If I had to guess then I think my mounting bracket probably came from a 70 series. I have a new pump on the way so hopefully it will be here this weekend.
Removed the mount and found a part number on the back. 44443-60050

Looks like I will be installing a new FJ62 pump. My old pump looks slightly different on the outside but the internals may be similar. Saw some good rebuild threads for the 62 pump so I may give that a...
Got a question that I just can’t seem to figure out by searching. I am in the process of replacing the power steering pump on my 1983 FJ43 and have hit a little snag. I got a City Racer Non-US version PS pump a couple months ago but I believe my pump and mount has been swapped for something...
Wrestled a set of brand new 7.50r16 Dunlop SP Qualifiers onto my stock split rims. I picked up a set of takeoffs from a 79 series and used the new outer rings as mine were toast. Hit them with some rustoleum and went to work.
