Mainly b/c I have 33x12.5s, and when I hit bumps with my tires turned, they scrap against the front lip of my rig.
Trim your fenders just a bit?. Adjust bumpstops?
I have to agree here..you got a locked up tentioner or pulley..sometimes its hard to see them spinning under the hood..spin each one by hand...on the outside maybe a burr or something cutting into the belt..good luck
You can tell a lot more than you think if a tranny is on a pallet. Pull the top cover and quick inspection inside will show you chipped or wornout gear teeth, syncros, cones, you check main shaft play, reverse gear, etc..fulid condition and metal in the bottom of the case. You can check input...
If you had one plug wire wrong it means you had at least two wrong, as you found out these things will run on 4 cylinders...badly.. Its not hard to mash the ground electrode on the spark plugs, accidently pull off a vacuum line, both would make it run poorly...dont feel bad we have all been...
Had an FJ40 i welded some thick tabs on both shifters, could lock down both shifters...one in reverse and the other in lowrange. Would make for an interesting police chase! Would also pull the fuel pump fuse and replace with a blown one...never got stolen...
I want to hear from guys that have factory LSD in the front diff. Pros and Cons etc. How long lived is it, strong?, how much is the LSD oil, how does it perform on rocks, sand, snow......
There are companys out there that will give you everything you need, complete with new harness Throttle body, and computer with the correct chip for a $1000 dollars shipped to your house, with their tech support...why would you cobble a system together and cross your fingers when you could...

Welcome! Take some time and read thru the "FAQ" section in the top header of the home page..bunch of good stuff on steering etc. Above is a link to the one I remember using.
I agree with everyone here so far....remember if you have "oil" coming out of the tail pipe you should have to add oil to your engine...should be some smoke all the time too...sounds like normal startup condensation water and soot from tailpipe. Also 6x5.50 inch rims are the common chevy truck...
