That was my first thought too and yanked the fuse to it, but the beep persisted. I put this one in a few years back, but it’s had an aftermarket head unit in it since I got it in 2003.
I need some help diagnosing an intermittent issue with my ‘98 LC where I’m getting a beep from the dash.
It occurs every few weeks, starts about 10 minutes into my morning commute, continues when I turn the car off for a few hours, and is off by the time I go to lunch. I don’t get a CEL or...
I have not, but I’m planning to fix my hvac buttons later this week. I’ll go ahead and do the unlock switch assembly while I’m in there and grab the voltage for you.
I was unable to program the fob on my ‘98 LC for close to 20 years. It ended up being a bad unlock warning switch assembly on the ignition. I was able to jump the harness and finally program my fobs. I ordered the part for $20 or so, but haven‘t installed it yet. 84052-33040
Set of 5 (spare not pictured) 16” oem wheels off a ‘98 Land Cruiser. BFG LT285/75R16s hold air, but 2 would not pass NC inspection. Also have 3 hub caps. $300 or reasonable offers/trades.
I just replaced my muffler and had a leak between the cat and the intermediate pipe, so I replaced the gasket there too. You only need two if you are only replacing the muffler and leaving that intermediate pipe bolted to he cat.

No hidden “message” from me. There’s a limit to the number of pictures you can attach to a post. If you upload to an album, you can embed as many of those images as you want in a post. It’s just easier to upload in bulk when you’re dealing with a bunch of pics. They were handy, that’s all.

Are you able to view this album, it has over 40 pics of my seats from a 98:

I can take more if needed.
I just did some quick checks and all the Toyota part numbers for the factory covers are identical from 1998-2000, so I don’t imagine there will be issues, but it would be nice to have some guarantees from @Ridies.
You might be able to use red locktite and crank two nuts together on the other end.
Grinder or dremel to flatten the round section down so you can get wrench on that back nut.
Did you ever have any luck here? I’m interested in going the other way. I’d gladly give up the split adjustable console lid for a solid one with a little more storage.
