Help diagnosing beep coming from dash

That was my first thought too and yanked the fuse to it, but the beep persisted. I put this one in a few years back, but it’s had an aftermarket head unit in it since I got it in 2003.

Help diagnosing beep coming from dash

I need some help diagnosing an intermittent issue with my ‘98 LC where I’m getting a beep from the dash. It occurs every few weeks, starts about 10 minutes into my morning commute, continues when I turn the car off for a few hours, and is off by the time I go to lunch. I don’t get a CEL or...

    100 series master key thread

That’s the open circuit voltage at the harness. Key in, ignition on, but with the switch disconnected.

I had 14V across the harness terminals.

    100 series master key thread

I have not, but I’m planning to fix my hvac buttons later this week. I’ll go ahead and do the unlock switch assembly while I’m in there and grab the voltage for you.

    100 series master key thread

I was unable to program the fob on my ‘98 LC for close to 20 years. It ended up being a bad unlock warning switch assembly on the ignition. I was able to jump the harness and finally program my fobs. I ordered the part for $20 or so, but haven‘t installed it yet. 84052-33040

    Muffler Replacement - DIY?

I just replaced my muffler and had a leak between the cat and the intermediate pipe, so I replaced the gasket there too. You only need two if you are only replacing the muffler and leaving that intermediate pipe bolted to he cat.

    LX570 USB Retention Cable

Did you ever get this figured out? After reading the post below, I took apart the center console of my 2011 LX and it looks like the connector below the cup holders will take a PAC USB-TY2. CarPlay works in a 2020 Land Cruiser -...

Replacement Seat Covers for LX470 / Land Cruiser

No hidden “message” from me. There’s a limit to the number of pictures you can attach to a post. If you upload to an album, you can embed as many of those images as you want in a post. It’s just easier to upload in bulk when you’re dealing with a bunch of pics. They were handy, that’s all. For...

Replacement Seat Covers for LX470 / Land Cruiser

I just did some quick checks and all the Toyota part numbers for the factory covers are identical from 1998-2000, so I don’t imagine there will be issues, but it would be nice to have some guarantees from @Ridies.

    Alternator Replacement

You might be able to use red locktite and crank two nuts together on the other end. Grinder or dremel to flatten the round section down so you can get wrench on that back nut.

    Need help re: injection coils

Rock Auto had the best price when I swapped mine. They are $53 right now. Check Amazon before you buy too, their prices fluctuate.

LX / LC Center console lid swap

Did you ever have any luck here? I’m interested in going the other way. I’d gladly give up the split adjustable console lid for a solid one with a little more storage.

    Front HVAC fan stopped working

I’d start with checking voltage at the blower motor. It’s easy to get to and swap out if it’s the culprit.
