thanks fisher, i'll give that a try. are you just connecting both breathers to the filler neck so both are still connected at the top, or plugging the aux connection at the neck and just connecting the aux hose into the main tank vent?
i get my CELs after the truck sits for a few days and runs...
spoke too soon... CELs have returned with a vengeance.
checked the filter, still breathing when i am filling the tank. the filter is not caked up with mud.
any ideas on what else to chase? i doubt the charcoal canister is clogged again, but i cant think of anything else to mess with. getting...
hive mind-
i am having a terrible time finding the thread for the LRA tanks that deals with the venting issue. help a brother out? i have been fighting with this damned tank for 9 months now with the same check engine codes no matter what tricks i do. if i didnt love buying costco gas every 700...
piling on with this issue. i have been chasing my tail on this for about 6 months.
turned out my charcoal canister was JAM PACKED with moab silt from a trip in november when i had the original LRA filter installed. I thought it was a plumbing issue to go with the filtration problem, but...
Anyone else get theirs yet? I haven’t heard a peep from GROM yet. I shot them a couple emails to see what’s going on and haven’t heard back.
@plars, any tips on the install?
ha! shoulda searched before i dove in. the instructions were a little thin on details. i’m tempted to send some suggestions for adding detail, especially some tips for the LX AHC crowd.
working on installing aux tank and I need to get keyed power. I’m digging into the dash and not seeing anything obvious or gauged enough for 5 amps. any tips? i was hoping something obvious would jump out at me in the fuse box, but no dice thus far.
any thoughts? who’s putting in aux fuse...
that's my concern, too. i'd be perfectly happy with the same spring rate with an additional 2" of height. found a custom coil maker on line that i submitted an inquiry to, so maybe they can help figure that out. if the AHC drained drops the rig to the bump stops, the AHC is MUCH more important...
i won't be going more than the 20 mm toyota spacer for the TOP of the front coils. that bolt situation was exactly what i was concerned about. i was considering machining a taller spacer that i could put studs into with recessed pockets like a wheel spacer to get more height up front, but i...
well, the nittos are at 38 psi, so about 10% higher than lexus recommends, but 52 psi lower than the max tire pressure, so my thinking is the ride change is really the combination of heavier tires and maxing out the sensors. the truck definitely isnt riding bad, but it is definitely STIFF...
i've done the sensor lift on my LX and things are generally fine, but i am quickly adding steel to the rig and i am thinking about ways to modify things to keep height and try to get the truck back to a softer ride. i have 35"s on it right now and with the sensor lift, the ride selector is on...
@MrTorgue, aside from the glare, how do you like the unit? I’ve seen mixed reviews on performance and software issues. Seems like some people love it, others are frustrated.
@plars ive been looking at a tesla-style update, but its looking like more of a pain in the ass than its worth. is this unit basically updating the factory unit with a separate brain to provide control? i am a little confused on how this set up works. it looks like it would keep everything...
Thanks!
My thinking is adding the spacer will “preload” the spring and the AHC system won’t have to have as high a pressure to keep the truck at the given altitude. I noticed it after I did the sensor lift and before I put on the new tires. With the tires, it just seems more exaggerated...
