    HELP!!! 96 died while driving won't restart

    I assume you checked battery cable to alternator? When you replaced the fusible link you may have moved the bad connection at the alternator enough to get it to start and drive for a short time. This would also prevent a CEL from coming on.

    Señor Pablo, I believe "base camp" will be the aforementioned 4J Campground in Ouray. It didn't cost me much, if any, to reserve two spots so if plans change, I'm flexible. And I'd be more concerned with the bipedal animals eating your famous charcuterie!
