    2008 HZJ71 diagnostic

I don't know , sorry . All I know is that 1HZ powered Land Cruisers , sold to general markets and later registered in Germany , have that box and a grafted Toyota EGR system , to comply I think with Euro 3 or 4 ( not sure ) so that they could be registered in Germany , A friend of mine has a...

    2008 HZJ71 diagnostic

Hi Giacomo Your 2008 HZJ71 was probably sold in Germany , and to comply with emissions , the company Huberfarzeugtechnik from Germany , made and applied those control boxes in Land Cruiser with 1HZ engines to be sold in Germany . Not sure if your 2008 HZJ 71 has OBDII or if the HZJ71 was...

    Shift on the fly 4H

With freewheel hubs locked , you should be able to pass from 2 high , to 4 high on the fly with no problems ( depressing the clutch as when you change gears ) . That's how my July HZJ75 , with H55F with split transfer works . On suggestion though : Check tyres pressure to ensure that rolling...

    HZJ77 12V Radio & temp display...

The most simple way to get Bluetooth & hands free in a 24 volt cruiser is to install a 24 radio . This one is a truck radio made in Germany by Continental . Bluetooth & Hands free . Works perfectly and is rock solid . I have an older model , made by Kienzle . Search by Kienzle , VDO or...

    Builds The "Red Rocket" Troopy

Hi Bosch fog lights are not OEM . The switch looks OEM . I know several European spec BJ45 , with 24 volts that have a similar switch . They were used to power the factory installed trailer harness when you hook a trailer . I believe that some older North American cruisers such a switch also ...

The fuel temp sensor is located inside the fuel tank , and it is this fuel temp sensor that triggers the heater located on the fuel primer .

One of the last HZJ75 sold , July 1999 .

Been some weeks since last post . Too busy at work ! This covid thing is a mess ( I am a GP/family doctor ) and keeps me from giving the cruisers the attention I would like . Anyway , my 1999 HZJ75 , has some features that I think are very unusual , at least to me . One of them is that it can...

Oil for Injection Pump B engine

You should put the same oil you use on the motor . My H motor (6 cylinder) injection pump takes 300 ml of engine oil , so , a B injection should take a bit less . Anyway , you fill the pump via the dipstick , so it is easy . Make sure there is no leaks , via the drain plug . Injection pump...

One of the last HZJ75 sold , July 1999 .

Here is a video of the engine running after cold start . I changed the batteries to YUASA , because the former batteries although perfect , one of them had the battery poles on the wrong side . Now they are correct . The older ones will go to another cruiser with weaker batteries .
