I am on my way to the mountains. After inspecting the truck for the trip l noticed my alternator belts are in bad shape. Local toyota part dept is closed on saturdays. I was trying to get belts from napa but they list single belt that is thicker then the two belts I have on the truck, can...

s*** happens. Glad you're ok. Also glad that you not rushing to judgement. You might not end up using the services of the shop in the future but there is no reason to act like some people (this forum including) that never make any mistakes. It's true it was a big mess-up but even when things...
Here is a fix using the bulb. As was said you can use resistors.

Didn't have to mess with my trailer harness.
My son was changing oil in the LC and I decided to take a look at why the winch clutch lever wouldn't go into "free spool" mode. Well here is what I've found:
Well it's not bad at all at around 10% difference. Auto manufactures work very hard to get that kind of improvement. Plus one doesn't have to worry about potential damage done by alcohol to the fuel system. I try to avoid ethanol as much as I can for those reasons.
There is also a factor of ethanol... Not sure if it's still the case but as recently as two years ago Premium gas in most states didn't have the 10% ethanol in it, thence possible better mileage running it in the engine that doesn't requiring Premium. Anyone who has experience sudden loss in...
No, the advantage will be both the front and side marker/turn signal lights will be serving in both capacities. Both will have dual filament bulbs that will use one filament for turn signal and the other for marker light. Hope it helps.

Very nice. I am considering going this route for the rear bumper myself. What is the minimum power requirements for the welder to tackle this kind of job?
Wasn't sure on the value for the resistor thence the bulb. Not very well versed in the electrical stuff, for that matter in anything else. Like they say jack of all trades master of none.
Don't have any info on the rear bumper cage, didn't even asked PO about it since after first looking at it I knew I'll have to take it down. Planning to ether put together or buy an ARB or Slee style rear bumper once have the funds.
I installed the little LED's into lower part of the old...
