1971 FJ-40, $9600 / Texas Landcruiser - TRADE for Excursion Diesel
'71 FJ40 Land Cruiser
Owned lots of these and swore I would never sell this one.
Almost everything done/new. This is not a recent frame off restoration, but a frame off from a few years ago or a more recent frame-on...
No driving with this, unless you wanna do the bearings in the bottom end while your here and then drive it. It has 31 inch tires and stock 60 rims. It has not been wheeled. PM me your e-mail if you need a picture or two.
 Donkey
Thanks
1982 FJ40 Landcruiser, 1985 FJ60 Toyota Wagon
I have two rigs that need to go, these will be ready to sell in 1-2 weeks, but I wanted to get the word out now, rather than wait till last minute.
1982 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser, 2 door, hardtop, running project. Small lift, reduced gear ratio in...
Have a 4 cylinder TOYOTA Tacoma / 4 Runner motor. It is a 2.7 liter 4x4 truck engine. Pulled from a 1999 4Runner that ran great and strong, but had to much body damage to be worth fixing. 128k.
High, even compression in all cylinders. Good oil pressure, No Leaks. Complete from intake to...
ahhh
O.K.
I was looking for info on the 20R, but while you brought it up, does anyone know anything about what isotel just said here? 22r with 22re intake/exhaust and all the trimmins. I have a line on a 22r.
Ya' I could make an adapter!!!!!...........out of tin foil, in my kitchen. Do you have any more direction on an adapter that wouldn't be homemade or if it was, who do I talk to or where do I go to look at the specs?
Also, I am not dealing with the 22R, its a 20R if that makes a difference...
The 22re has a bad head with a busted bolt in it form the PO who tried to install a new head gasket and failed in his efforts. It has been sitting for 5 years in pieces and it has 255K on it already.
The 20r motor runs, is still in the donor truck with about 40k miles, has reverse mounted...
I tried the pirate's site for an answer but I guess none of them are up to the question.
Can I put an old (good and cheap) 20r engine in an 87' 4runner that has a bad EFI 22re? If so, what do I need to do in order to make this work?
Is this an easy swap or a bad idea. What fits together...

Good to know about the difficultly with the 22re to 3.4 swap. Thanks, and say hi to Littleton for me, I used to live near JACKASS HILL. At one time that place was full of Jackasses!!! Army ones.
Donk
I have heard that the 3.4 is sweet. I will prolly start looking for one around here. I agree that some of those Pirates guys are just Vultures that are cherry pickin' on everyone they can. Prolly never married 43 year olds living on a computer in mommy's basement. One guy started punking and...
Cool
Hey, thanks for clearing it up. I thought that you thought that all 4Runners were cursed with that worthless V6. I almost wanted to cry. Where is the one that you know of for sale (location)???
Donk
options
What years of Toyota's do I want to look for? I am under the impression that the 3.4 is in more than just the T100. Is there a better year 3.4 for the conversion than another? I am dealing with a 93' 4Runner with the 3 point NO!!!
Thanks
Alright, I have a question for the Toyota people. I've got a 93' 4Runner with the crappy 6cyl and want to know what years can I take from to replace it with the 4 cyl. ??? Are some years incompatable? Would I just need exhaust, engine mounts and computer to do the 4cyl??? Is it a lot tougher...

I have a strong Smallblock Chevy engine,V8 that I pulled from a running truck. I had plans to use this for my project, but I am way too busy these days.
