Thanks for the bolt Wayne, it works great!
Those are some sweet rigs you've got and are working on, especially that one white troopy.
Care of your advice I've warned my father to avoid ordering anything yet and I'm going to try to get ahold of Gozzard next week.
If you want to stop over and...
You're just in Paisley, right? I'm out by Desboro if you know where that is. I was actually about to shoot you a pm asking where you are so I could stop by because I am looking for a driver's side door and heard you'd be the guy to go to for that.
I did try it with a belt about an inch shorter, but there was no way I could get the belt to go on even with the tensioner as far down as I could get it.
I don't think the shoulder is absolutely necessary, I agree that it seems like it's meant more to keep you from bottoming the tensioner out...

I just got myself finally into the land of cruiser ownership by buying a 1976 FJ45 longbed. The PO had just about everything done on it to get it back on the road except for the body. The bed is in useable but somewhat rough with and would cost me oodles of cash to get back into good shape...
Sorry for the double post but I can't find the edit button, I meant to say the engine and trans are from a BJ70 that had about 180k kms on it and got ahead of myself for a moment there.
I bought a 76 FJ45 long bed (is that what you folks mean by LV?) yesterday. It has a 3B and 5spd swapped into it from. Vin: FJ45122181 Here's a shot of it the PO took for me before I was able to come take a look in person and buy it. The frame is solid, the cab is repairable but I may end up...
