Those volvos look like the go but here in OZ we would have no chance of finding any.
I have a friend that was looking for mog diffs and couldn't find any that were any good and in the end he got a complete 404 mog for $16000 that he now cannot bring himself to destroy for the diffs.
How...
Thanks for that.
I'm only running 305/70/r16s at the moment and would like to go bigger but not sure now.
Didn't take it the wrong way as I know the main reason it went was the loud pedal and my inexperience with this truck.
EXPERIENCE IS SOMETHING YOU GAIN MOMENTS AFTER YOU NEED IT...
A bit of both.
I dented the guard that I fabricated on the front but broke some teeth when it grabbed traction.(standard casing wasn't damaged though)
I will have a look for marks on the pinion flange but I don't think it hit.
Haven't actually opened it up yet so it feels like there is...
Tried to bump it over a rock that I was hooked on while going up a steep climb.
The poor old truck didn't like the foot of air under the front wheels.
My fault for trying to keep up with guys with much better trucks.
Cheers Phil.
Gday all.
I have a live axle 100 (105) series (not an 80 but the front diff is very similar) and smashed the ring and pinion on the weekend. I've tracked down another diff and would like to know what I can do to this diff before I put it in to stop this happening again.
I've heard that...
That's what amazes me as we have liability issues over here aswell, but I can purchase a kit to make my car illegal (part time kit removes ABS) but I can't get a kit to legalise it.(retain ABS)
Cheers Phil.
G'day all.
I have a 105 series and am thinking of putting a part time four wheel drive kit in it but I would like to keep ABS.
I think 80s and 105s have the same set up on the front.
Is there a mod to do this? Maybe move the sensor or put an after market sensor kit on?
Cheers Phil.
Gday again guys
To EL_3grab. Yes that is my lift kit but I bought the incab adjuster for an extra $500.
To DMX. To me it sounds as though your issue is more to do with extra weight, so shocks will slow the dampening action down but if you don't do something with the springs you will...
