I did do nothing with my Cruiser, because I sold it, but I found some unedited video footage of it, with me trying it out a little in my backyard. So I just edited a little. Enjoy! :)
Hi! I know this has not much to do with tech talk, except for the fact that without the tech talk over here my wife and I wouldn't have had the succesful, two year long overlanding trip through South America we did. The Cruiser is up for sale at the moment and we are in Europe again, so...
Hey, these are no "pfeffernuss"! :) I am Dutch and we have those things in the Netherlands too! The things in your picture are called "kruidnoten" (in German Gewürzenuss) and the softer, shapeless things in this pic are "pepernoten" (Pfeffernuss). Thing is that the last 20 years or so...
We had, yes!!! It was GREAT! And you're welcome! A few weeks ago we have started another chapter of our lifes, though, and are in Europe now. And driving a Ford Fiësta 1.1 at the moment... But hey, it moves, it's dry inside, and it has a heater  And our youngest daughter doesn't like it at...
Yeah, aluminum would have been nice. I guess it is about 70 kilos (Appr 150 pounds). Don't know precisely. Could be a little more. I used two big slabs of 12mm plywood and then of course the steel. But i'm sure it's under 200 pounds. I weighed the truck though, and it was 2850 kilos (6300...
I would take a look at Proline, in Florida. The owner already had a factory in Venezuela and distributed all over the country and further, and moved to the US one and a half years ago. He is new on the US market, so I guess he has good prices. And they make very nice stuff!
Welcome to Proline...
Hi! It took me quite a long time to get this video about our strong drawer system/sleeping platform ready, but now it has been tested for two years while traveling through the Amazone jungle and the Andes Mountains and to the most southern city of this globe. I never had to do any maintenance on...
I'm not sure, but there are so many whales over there, in those bays, for mating and giving birth, so I guess now and then they just die of natural causes, because they have no natural enemies over there. The orcas come a few months later. And yes, it's sad, but every day you see so many living...
If I compare that with my own 80 with 4" with 33" tires, I would say at least 4". But I wouldn't be surprised if this guy used extra spacers. Otherwise the suspension must be brand new. Nice looking truck!
Maybe you already checked this, but when I had the same problem (turning, but not starting), for some unknown reason the fuse box under the EFI fuse was melted. I didn't see anything at the outside.
Roughest camping spot we have ever been, at 15,000 feet at a living vulcano in Equador, at freezing temperatures and hard winds. That morning we started at almost sea level, so next morning we had to go down quickly because of height sickness :)
Thanx for calling my videos "cool" :-) I still have 600 gigabytes of video on my harddisks, but didn't have time to edit them. In a month we stop traveling, and I hope to get the time to edit more stuff.
Just traveling around for the last two years :) But don't be jealous. We are working 6 days a week to be able to live like this. But yes, we have a great life!!! Originally we are from the Netherlands, but lived at the edge of the jungle in Suriname, in the north of South America, for 9 years...
Our daugther visited us for a short vacation in Patagonia. I let her do some light "dune bashing" and we went (illegally) swimming with whales. Petted it!
