I had mine converted, all it needed was new seals, new oil, and a new dryer. cost about 200 bucks. Well worth it considering that's how much an R12 recharge would probably cost. It cools great, all the new cars use R134a and you don't see them complaining about it either.

Well, it's confusing, because the instructions call to put ONE pin in, and then put the cam gears in. It's easier to put all 4 pins in and push them towards the openings on each slot. Then when you put the second cam gear in, just use a screwdriver to slide the pins over, then put the springs in.
Installation was pretty painless and the locker is working great, can barely hear/feel it.
The only weird part of the instructions was the pins, but I found a better way to do it.
It was installed in the truck on a lift (knowing friends with lifts is quite nice)
