Looks like a truck that I nearly bought out of Lakeway (The Hills) a few years ago. Snoozed a day too long and it was gone. Wondering if it’s the same one.
If not leaving as-is, go with powder coat for durability. There are also convex mirror heads that look much like the rectangular OEM variety that I’ve got on my truck.
Appreciate the suggestions, I checked hoses and distributor and all seem fine. It’s a ‘76. A little black inside the carb. but kind of expected that after this morning’s fun. Unfortunately can’t check timing since it won’t fire.
Left the house to take the 40 to Coffee & Cars this morning , but only got about 1/2 mile away before it started running rough as hell, really low on power, and back firing through the carb about every 5-10 seconds. Made it back to the entrance of our neighborhood and it died and wouldn’t...
I was one of the parties interested in CruiserSteve84‘s 60 and we were in contact after he put the deposit down on the 40. Things played out exactly as he noted above. He’s a no BS kind of guy and as straight of a shooter as you’ll ever find. Now that the highly speculative comments have been...
1st Generation bumper that’s been professionally blasted and powder coated. Looks like brand new again and has not been mounted since it was redone. Was hard to find, had to travel to get it, and was costly to restore but have ultimately decided to keep the current setup on my truck after all...
It’s a pretty packed venue, especially now that it’s not 110F outside! A half dozen times when I’ve gotten there early enough (7:30-45am) they‘ve directed me to park the 40 in the restricted area with the exotics, which was rather surprising! She’s just your average rig! 😂
Off of Franklin St. downtown. Couple blocks from Post, where Coffee & Cars meets first Saturday of every month. We are there for about half of the events per year. We should meet there sometime?
