Apparently being stored in a climate controlled garage wasn't good enough. somehow over the winter the rear axel seal decided to break itself. it's a 72 rear axel, where can I get a seal? the only ones I can find are for later models.
There are a number on ebay for between 130-200 bucks. They all look about the same. Anybody know if there is a difference or which ones to avoid? I'm running an electric fan. Thanks.
Do they make a thicker friggin' donut gasket for these things? My y pipe won't clear the oil pan-since we put a one piece neoprene leak proof gasket on it. It's very close but a thicker donut would save the day. Thanks!
Oil is getting pushed/forced out in large quantities through the area where the oil pan meets the lower timing cover. Has one piece neoprene pan gasket. Mechanic told me "the guts are getting sucked out of it." Put carb spacer and PCV valve in and worked perfect-problem solved... Parked it...

Yeah I know. Don't annoy me or I will invert my bezel and post the pic every day!!! :bang:I read and re-read every archived post and nothing works. Block huggers won't clear, over the fender headers won't clear without cutting the fenders, ramshorns and 3/4 dumps won't clear the steering box...
OK here's the deal. Is there any over the fender headers that will actually clear without cutting the s&^% out of my new CCOT expensive fenders? Ramshorns are out of the question (although i considered taking them off my 64 Stingray to try them) so are inside the frame. I can tell you the...
