I sold my '97 LX450 (triple locked, supercharged, blah, blah) when I bought my 200 and I have regretted doing so since. Especially since the prices have gone up, up, up. So if you can swing it, I'd keep it and see if you end up using it or not. If you have teenagers coming along, it would be...
A friend has a 2006 LX470 and the steering locks when turning right at slow speed. In other words, when turning the wheel to the right at slow speed, like a parking lot, the steering wheel will "stop" turning. If he backs off the steering wheel slightly and then goes again, it will then...
If you do a google search, you will see that this has happened more than once. Half the people leave the cap, half take the diff apart to get it out. I had it happen to me. So far I have left it alone and just been driving it. I will drain it in another 25k miles and see what comes out.
Stand facing away from the wheel and give it a good kick with the heel of one shoe. Alternative is to lower the jack - SLOWLY - and put a SLIGHT load on the wheel, then give it another kick.
The valve allows the filter to drain before you remove the filter housing. Otherwise, you'll end up with a lot of oil running all over the place when you remove the filter housing.
Generally speaking, most oil companies recommend changing the oil after 12 months if it's been in an engine. Some oil life monitors take time into account and will time out the oil, even if it's parked (my 2019 Corvette is this way). Some go on the amount of fuel consumed and don't track the...
I changed mine at 90k. It's a 2008 I bought with 65k on it. I used 12qts of WS fluid and flushed through the cooler using the youtube video from Australia. I would change it now if your rig were mine.
I did this a month ago and used OEM parts (idler, belt and tensionser). The tensioner was marked Dayco in the toyota Box. I can't speak for who made the belt or idler. The OEM stuff lasted 14 years and looked fine when I replaced it. I pulled the skid plates off and did the change from the...

According to the engineering guy on youtube, it's generally OK to go heavier on the high temperature viscosity, or lighter on the low temp viscosity, but not the other way around. You should be OK.
I R&R'ed the passenger side CV axle, as it was clicking a bit while reversing with the wheel hard over. I think I will rebuild this shaft and save for a spare. I used OEM Toyota.
Then I R&R'ed the serpentine belt, tensioner and idler. OEM parts here, too. The car has 105k on it and I...
No help on spring rates for your load, but one can add 5 or 10mm spacers to the rear springs if you need more lift. I did that on mine with good success.
I have the stock front and rear springs from my 200 series in my garage. Free for the asking. 65k miles on them. Also have some OEM upper control arms if you want them for some reason.
PM is probably the best way to get ahold of me. They'll go on Craigslist free stuff this weekend.
I have a set of barely used OME 2722 rear springs. I bought these, installed them for about a month and then replaced them with 2720's. I do not carry enough weight to use the 2722's, so the stink bug look wasn't doing it for me.
Anyway, $200/OBO and we can split the shipping, since these...
