Hey man, long time since I've been here and I even moved and sold my FJ40, sadly so.
I never received any loaner tool. I never did get to install the grommets on my canvas top. I had it on for a while, grommetless, but I used the hardtop most of the time. Sorry I can't help much here.
I am selling my 1970's FJ40 OEM Dash Pad and a new unused Dash Pad cover.
This was the dash pad my late 1970 FJ40 came with. It has some cracks on the outer casing but no structural damage or the filler. I originally intended to have it recovered with black vinyl and to sand the mounting area...
Hi everyone, I am selling a twice used (four knuckles), Toyota Knuckle Centering Tool. Those of us here know what it is for and how it saves you a lot of unnecessary pain.
I'm asking $280 plus actual shipping for it. And that is less than I paid for it trust me. I will ship anywhere, but I will...
I defer to Cal40 for the line. All I can read below is that I was next. As soon as I'm done I'll send to whomever you guys agree is, or Cal40, is that ok?
You will find part suppliers in Ecuador and Colombia for the most part. I'd say Venezuela as well where it was also strongly used as the Toyota Macho in the oil regions, but its not easy to deal with Venezuela right now. Bear in mind that a form of FJ40 was built and sold in Brazil until...
:mad:To all, I have it now, I should be done with it in a week. I would have it by this weekend but my twist fasteners and eyelets appeared to have been taken hostage by a pack of invisible giant sized ants that every now and then appear in my garage along with the ghost that rides my road bike...
I can't think as to why you would pay 6.5K for it, there are very very few survivor cars that would warrant above 5K onwards, from what you explain this is certainly not close to being a survivor. Partially remedied cars are not restored cars, its a different ownership experience and they can be...
You are right, I responded to Cal's inbox. Anyway, I haven't gone any route yet. I was hoping to in about two weeks when I put it up. Maybe the tool will show up by then. Not trying to make any assumptions but it appears the tool list falls off with ginsudan and fasteddie somewhere.
CCOT are quite good. I went with them. They have a special bending table where they make them. They are truly only skins, not the whole setup. But you can work around them nicely.
Very nice car. And it wasn't nearly as bad as other Colorado cars have been. Mine used to be in Colorado and I had to basically redo more than half of the body.
