I arrived this morning...I'm in RHD paradise...Auckland has a fare # of Lcruisers, but boy the pace here is fast...I think it might be hard to keep up with the traffic if I had kept my old 3B raggie.
The rag-top sold today, and I leave for New Zealand next Wednesday. Thank you all for your help over the past 3 years, look forward to my next rig in NZ.
Ciao!!

It's on Vancouver Island, so super-cold temperatures don't exist. Having said that, we get snow, and it handles great. It has a strong heater that gets the inside warm quickly once you start driving.
For really cold climates, you'd want to install an oil heater.
Sorry, no idea where to get Toyota factory soft-tops. Maybe ask Wayne (Crushers). Mine is not a retro-fit soft-top, the roll bar, doors and struts across the top are all built specifically for a soft-top, I would think converting a fibreglass top would involve some fabrication.
She's still for sale, just advertised it this morning in the Victoria and Vancouver Used websites: usedvictoria.com, usedvancouver.com

She's going to be in...
Thanks Wayne, all of you guys have a couch to crash on in Auckland, and a free ride in the my new V8 LC (dreaming)....if I don't go broke getting down there!
I graduate in 2 weeks (Civil Eng) and I've been hired by a firm in Auckland NZ. Will be emigrating this summer.
Exciting times, sad to have to part with this rig...it is something truly special.

Hopefully the admin will leave this up for a bit to direct traffic. It's a sad day and a happy one...
Suggest what? Where to buy? What to buy? What would you like to know? There are professional importers on the forum, hundreds of JDM Landcruiser owners here as well. Take some time to search through the various posts here, I think you'll find the Japanese imports are well-discussed.
I replaced the main seal on my BJ70, did the clutch at the same time. The oil pan gasket was also leaking, so check that first. It's a big job, you need a transmission lift or improvised floor jack, lots of time and a huge air gun to get the flywheel bolts off. I'm no mechanic, so it wasn't...
