I'm looking to have my springs rearched and have a leaf added to get rid of the sag. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good shop around Boulder or Denver that has experiance with cruisers and resonable prices. Thanks.
I got the common 2nd oxygen sensor wires rubbing the front axle and shorting the EFI system on my '94 during a long trip last weekend. Luckily I was able to isolate the shorted wires and use some zip ties to hold the wires back and it made it the 300 miles back home. Now its time to do a real...
mine did that too the other day...seems a "normal" thing for the 80. As for most cars doing this, I must have owned all the other types of cars that don't!
what are those 2 little rubber things sticking out of the starter? they have holes in them and it looks like water could get in the starter on a deep crossing...
they have a ton of different switches...i almost went with the minute man missile turn keyed! didn't get a lighted switch because the shop i went to didn't have any DC ones and i didn't want to wait for a mail order. i'm not good at waiting for things...
ok, so it can engage...wouldn't that be really bad say driving down the highway? even if i had the swtich in the stock location it would be next to the rear defogger, an easy mistake to push it.
well, i couldn't find any wrecked FJ-80s around so i went ahead and made my own. turned out the lower rectangle holes by the rear heater switch in the '94s dash are the standard size (.830" x 1.450") for a large appliance rocker switch. i did have to round off the corners to make it fit flush...
thanks...so the ECT switch under 10 bucks but the CDL switch is 50??? makes no sense, i'll go down to my dealer and see if i can get either another ECT or hazard switch and modify them to work. that should give it a cleaner look. thanks again!
since its getting to be summer, and the cruiser will be going places that a locked 4H will be useful...and i'm broke i've decided to make my own CDL switch. i've looked at the wiring diagram and i shouldn't be hard, actually its so simple i'm just going to save the 50 bucks and forgo the slick...
Sounds like any 80 will suit you just fine. Doesn't matter which tranny or if you have OBDI or OBDII or any of that stuff. If its going to be used for town driving and running the kids to school on the weekdays and then skiing, camping, and fishing on the weekends then you'll be happy with any...
if i don't open the door with my keyless and use the real key instead my truck's lights go crazy...blinking on and off for a few minutes. i'm pretty sure it has to do with the keyless system, its an AutoMate. anybody know how to stop it from doing this? i don't have the manual and can't find...
do you still have the stock bumpers? i'm trying to match the hub caps and the bumpers to accent the red, was planning on repainting the logo to match the truck...i bet yours looks great!
has anybody painted the hub caps anything other then the safe silver or black? if so did it look really bad and you ended repainting them? i think red, to match my paint, would look good but don't want to pay for the exact color match and another shade red would look odd. I just think the...
my oxygen sensors finally crapped out. is there any reason to spend double the price for the OEM replacements? i know some people feel strongly about only getting OEM, but does anyone know if they will make my truck run that much better?
I tried to take the stock roof rack off today so i could put a ski rack on. However of the 8 bolts that hold the "feet" on, 3 of them stipped  ...the threads, not the head. should i just break out the drill or is there any other way that might get them out. I only ask because it will be...
