    33" Toyo MT's on 18 inch rim

I realize this... but at the same time, after reading multiple posts over the years, it seams that there are more complaints about power loss over 33"... I believe some have even preferred 285/75/16's over 295/75/16's for this reason (even less of a difference). I don't plan on regearing or a...

    33" Toyo MT's on 18 inch rim

I am a realist, and accept the cruisers mpg. It is just part of the decision process, and if one would do better in that department than the other, it might sway me...

    33" Toyo MT's on 18 inch rim

I plan on OME front and rear (minimizing lift though), ARB and winch, and was planning on spacers either way. I plan on expedition type of use, and do understand the pros and cons of skinny/wide... Question: Which of these two choices would hurt my mpg more? 33.6" but skinnier and lighter...

    33" Toyo MT's on 18 inch rim

Thanks for the replies. I really am torn. I just worry that the height of the 275's at 33.6" is just a little too tall, taking it from the 33.0 range that most on Mud say does not cause any significant power loss, and putting it into a height that may cause a more noticeable power loss. I do...

    33" Toyo MT's on 18 inch rim

I have been following the thread on Toyo AT's, and still don't have an answer. I want to run 33" Toyo MT's on my stock 18 inch rims. The two options are: 275/70/18 33.6" tall, 11.0" wide (note the AT's are 33.1" tall) 33x12.5/18 33.0" tall, 12.7" wide for reference, the 285/75/16 BFG...

    Transmission "slip": reverse to forward

No, no noise at all. It is somewhat smooth, and feels like it is engaging twice. If I step on the gas, it happens more abruptly, but still no noise. I did have the ATF changed last year. I will have to check the level this weekend... -E

    Transmission "slip": reverse to forward

My 03 100 (80k, no mods) has a slip in the drive line or transmission when I back up, then put it in drive and either let the truck roll forward or give it gas. I feel the transmission engage, it starts moving forward, and about one second later it "engages further" (the best way I can...

Cooper ST or ST-C vs Nitto TG

A local tire place told me the STT's were just as quiet as the ST's...??? Maybe not true? I had the ST's on a Super Duty, and loved them. Great in all types of weather, off road, snow (siped), but no real mud testing, and just a slight whine. I now have the Nittos on my 100, and they are...

    New Tundra

I am having a similar dilema. I have an 03 100 and an 05 DC Tundra. From a practical standpoint, this is a perfect combo. The Tundra is a great truck, just harder to get around town, park, turn on tight trails, etc. I also REALLY like the full time 4WD of the 100 better. That being said...

    60k service questions

I have an 03 UZJ100 with 60k miles, purchased used at 35k. I have searched and used the FAQ section, but cannot figure out what I should be replacing. I read the recent 90k service thread. Should I do all of that? Should I have replaced the trans fluid, transfer case fluid, and diff fluid...

Traction control in my UZJ100 vs my Tundra

Thanks for the replys! I was feeling better about the Tundra, but then the following was from Shotts in another thread: "Do NOT buy the Seq for "off-roading". Not only is it too big and not really built for it, but the traction control is not "tuned" for off-road use. It's tuned for safety...

Traction control in my UZJ100 vs my Tundra

I have researched and read many different forums, but cannot seem to get to the bottom of this... You 100 owners seem to be the only ones who understand traction control, so here goes: I own an 03 UZJ100 and absolutely love it. I would have bought a second one in a heartbeat, but just can't...

    04 LC 51k

One of the main reasons I bought a LC was how safe a vehicle it is. I believe only 03 and newer have stability control and the option of side airbags, both huge safety features.

    Used LX 470 Questions

How do you set the telescopic wheel to not auto retract? My 03 Landcruiser had the "groan", was "lubed" by the dealer which took care of it...so far. Is there something else that should be done for it or is it really just a lubrication problem?

    Wheel/tire options: 18,17,16

Well I bought 265/60/18 Blizzaks, the only 18" studdless snow tire I could find, and very close to OEM size. I am still curious about the 16" rims for my summer tire...anybody know for sure if they will fit an 03?

    Wheel/tire options: 18,17,16

Hello, I am the proud but guilty (thats a lot of Denero! ) new owner of a used 03 100 series LC. I have been lurking on this site, and it certainly helped me make a decision to buy a TLC! I have a gaggle of questions, but first, before the snow flies I have to figure out tires. I have...
