Help Needed - Leak - Driver Side A-pillar at Headliner

There are several sources of leaks at the left A-pillar. I checked the sun roof drain and roof rack holes and they were tight. I removed the A-pillar covers and stayed inside and had my son spray the car with a hose. My leak happened at the windshiled gasket. There must have been a slight gap...

    Alternator moans before failing?

I had to replace my alternator due to leaking from the power steering pump. On my '06, the power steering pump is right above the alternator. Replaced both.

Alternator failure... what else to replace "while in there"?

I've had the Denso replacement for awhile and have had no issues. I think I removed from both below and above. I had to redo it because I didn't realize that the power steering pump, which is right above the alternator, was leaking and causing the alternator failure. If you remove some of the...

100 Series AHC maintenance needed in New England, Maine-NH-Mass.

I drained and refilled the AHC when I first bought my 2006 LX. Not extremely difficult but did have to do some reading. Similar to doing brake fluid change. I have not done a techstream torsion bar reset. Unfortunately, I am away most of this month. I am not really sure of any Landcruiser...

Electrical issues that I can't figure out

I have the same issue. Including the fuel gauge sometimes not working. It happens after rain. I have to let thing dry. I hate my sunroof. The drains are not clogged.

Losing my patience with leaky sunroof

My sunroof leaked. The culprit was the moulding that goes on the perimeter of the glass. It meets at the middle in the rear part of the sunroof. The gap (about 1mm) was big enough to leak. I used Silicone caulk that was UV resistant. No more leaks.

Worth it? HP in '06 and up

I've had an '85 60, '97 LX450 (triple locked - I did all the work), and now a '06 LX470. The 80 looks the best. The 100 is my favorite, although I've only had it for 3 months. It is the smoothest, fastest, most secure...and I can still work on it. I haven't driven the 200 or Tundras. I am...

    Builds mrahc's UZJ100 "Build/Adventure" Thread

Great looking truck. Besides baselining and fluid changes, I would seriously look at rust removal and prevention. New England winters are not kind to underbodies, especially to exhaust and brakes. I would plan on rust adding to the time, cost, and complexity of any build. Good luck.

    Front Bearing Replacement

I've done my LX450 front bearings multiple times. I just did one on the LX470 while I was there to replace a lug stud. I used 2001LC method and watched his YouTube vids to help. And went on a 200 mile trip with confidence right after.

Bowfin Cruisers Roof Rack for the 100 Series

Cool. Thanks for taking the time for the proper development. BTW, I noticed your roof line above the windshield has paint bubbling. Hope you take care of this.

    2003 LX 470 Rust

Plan on sanding and painting if you buy it. If that is the extent of rust in those pics, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

    Front seat removal

Just be careful of the metal feet as the seat is removed from the door opening. It can gouge the door panel if not careful.
