Missing
The only thing I can see is missing there is a lot of rust all over the place. All other Cruisers that I have seen has the rust so it must be OEM from Toyota. They must have forgotten to install it in your truck lucky you.....
No, in fact I did not do the gauge fix myselfe. I did not have the time untill i started restoring my rig. Been going on for years I am afraid. But its on the list.
Regarding the fan powerconsumption. I do not know for sure but its what I have been told. I gues a fully working system would...
The 12H-T has a grid like this and that works real well. But that is a direct injected engine. I am not sure if it is the grid or the DI that does the trick but hotter air definately should improve things.
I was never a fan of the "long life stuff". Too many assumptions from the manufacturers side I guess. They assume that your system is perfect with
no polutants or defects. An older system like this would not leak any less stuff into the liquid than a new engine, thats for sure. Also the added...
Its probably like Goldchaser said. There is an earth fault in the gauge cluster. An easy fix really. Pop out the main cluster and look behind the temp/fuel gauge part of it. There you will find a resistor that looks somwhat like a long sugar cube. I dont have any picktures of it now. This...
I am starting a 2H that has been sitting in storage for like five years. It has been stored inside but not in a heated room so it has the hot temp in the summer and freezing in the winter. It has been filled with coolant the whole time. Should i squirt some oil into the cylinders as well before...
First you get a 12V powersupply for the 12V stuff. It converts the 24V to 12V. Regular stuff and available at many stores and not too expensive. Some even alows for connecting a 12V battery so you can charge this as well.
Radio connects to this unit but the unit needs to be large enough of...
Stainless 12H-T three inch exhaust build...
Hi there Mountain Goat.
I am welding up a stainless 3 inch exhaust system behind the 12H-T. I plan on using two mufflers on it. The first is on the straight section just next to the gearbox and is close to 2 feet long. The second one is on the...
1HZ would fit your 5 speed h55f box (if you have one) from the 60 series. This providing you change the input axel into your gearbox. The 75 series came with this setup 2H/h55f.
I think this means that if you have a h55f with the different input axle you may put the turboed 4.2 litre (1HZ?)...
OK, thank you for that. Think I will do a similar instalment on mine. The 12H-T also has a drop bend like this so it should be quite nice.
And one more thing, that voltage regulator seems fairly close to the hot exhaust elbow. Get a shield or move it. It has got coils in it with laquer on the...
Do you have any pictures of the pyro sensor install? The one I have been looking at for my 12H-T is really long like six inches or so. Yours look a lot shorter or maybe it is inserted into the elbow with its full lenght?
And what if your PYRO assembly should shred some pieces or you have a bad weld falling off? Bye bye turbo, bigtime.....
It is safest to put it downstream the turbo. Keep in mind that the temp could be as much as 200 deg C cooler here if you have an efficient turbo setup at max load.
Other...
Hi there :)
Q on the AC system in my 60 series: The car did not have the system installed from factory, however I have got a complete system when bying my 12H-T enigine. The car is undergoing restoration an basically everything has been ripped from the body to prep it for welding/pain etc...
Did anybody ever put a 60 Cruiser body on a horizontaly swinging turret so one could rotate the bottom of the body skywards. Rust repairs would be so much easier.
