Man-a-fre header, $5K work by RMC including clutch, rebuilt carb, very little rust, 3rd owner. Drives great. Original interior except recovered front seats. She's got to go to a good home. I bought an 80. Located on east side of Cincinnati. Call 414-688-7386. $8,000/serious inquiries only.
My '85 60 (Tick) gets out about 3 days/week when I'm in town. Otherwise it's an '89 Volvo 240DL (Swede) with 140K miles. But for work it's a 2011 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU Electra Glide and for fun
a 2003 H-D Softail Standard with apes and pipes.
Tick is gassed, half-packed and ready to go...
1. 1985 FJ60
2. Buzz
3. "Lily" or "Tick II"
4. 130K miles
5. Stock
6. daily driver
Bought it in ND and drove it 1K miles to her new home in Cincinnati!
OK, I'm on the road for work, reading this thread about the frustrating (for me and my mechanic) stutter/miss/stumble.
Going to try the tach disconnect Friday on my 85 FJ60.....will

Jay;
Enjoy the FJC! My Voodoo Blue 2007 still rocks 30K into the journey.....20 mpg in stock trim. I put the Baja rack on and really like it! Had an 80, enjoyed it, but just HAD TO HAVE an FJC. It's working out OK as I just bought a 1978 FJ40 for fun.....
Keep us posted on how you like it!
Still cleaning and figuring out how to get the radio working.....FJ40 has had a shelf installed above the windshield (with a cb and speaker there). Gonna start de-greasing the drivetrain tomorrow....any good ideas on how to do that?
Congrats on the new FJ! I bought mine on eBay from CA. had it shipped to OH, and am making a list of the things I want to do to it.....mostly just conveniences, as it runs like a top!
Keep us posted on your rig!
How I got to TLCA:
Watched FJ Cruiser from first PR shots through development, drooling. Traded my '99 Land Cruiser for one of the first Voodoo Blue FJCs in Cincinnati. (Previously owned '92 FJ80....never should have gotten rid of that one....another one got away)
"The Tick" is great, and...
Congrats and have fun! I just bought a '78 and had it shipped to OH from CA. The carb had been rebuilt, it starts right up and I drive it often. Put new tires on it, cleaned it up, and am enjoying broadening my horizons while building confidence in the vehicle.
