You almost convinced me to move back, but this blood has been warmed up by an average 65 deg winter here.
Looks like it was a blast!!!
Candy Man- I bet that felt good driving your own rig.
Sure miss you guys.
Yes, it was confirmed piston slap. I tore the engine apart and found the cylinder wall and piston skirt were scored. not bad enough to toss it but glad I caught it in time to still be able to rebuild it.
The engine is now with a local club member that is going to rebuild it and swap it into one...
I had this same issue back in February and we could not determine what it was. Lucky for you, more people decided to chime in and help. I went through vigorous testings and even pulled some of the bearings (yes rod and main) just to check them. So I narrowed it down to piston slap without 100%...

I just moved here from Missouri for a job and based my living quarters on the location of my office. It is about...

Wanted to update everyone what was transpiring in my move. I don't really notice any difference in the weather here in Houston. It may be a little warmer but not too crazy. I have been here for a week and still haven't locked in a place of residence. I start work on Monday in the Galleria area...
