Decided to put this back up for sale. I've only put a few hundred miles on it since I last posted it up.
It will come with a set of 42" TSL's in excellent condition. The body will definitely need trimming to clear them.
Steering is all fixed and running hydro assist which works flawlessly...
2 things pushed me this way. My 24valve Cummins gets way better mileage than my Duramax and getting my hands on a very reasonbly priced 6bt :D
Still on the fence on the swap though, Im a bit tired of working on things lately.
So the cruiser has been sitting for almost two years, with just starting it every few months. I've had alot of stuff going on including rebuilding a 2007 Ferrari F430 spider from the ground up. That was a bear!
Anyways, I picked up a 93' 6bt P-pump from a F700 truck and am considering pulling...
Sounds way too high to me for a 3hp compressor, with a 40yr old pump and tank. 3hp will most likely only make about 10cfm, but it should be whisper quiet. I don't think I would pay even half of what they are asking unless it was absolutely immaculate.
Thanks for the compliment, I still like the yellow. Its now faded quite a bit though so I need to buff it and fix a few million other things.
Nope, no cummins conversions. I think they are too noisy and rattly, i would consider a Duramax though.
I wasnt me helping on that conversion although i...
Im pretty sure that the 351 does not come with PFC from the factory, but it is an upgrade option $$$. With PFC you will pull amperage at idle (around 60a at 220) but it will not turn your meter, so no charge from the power company unless you are on comercial demand based rates. The only time not...
As long as you don't have the power factor correction capacitors installed, you don't need 100amps to run the welder for most situations. I have 2 of the 3 PFC's connected on my Lincoln squarewave 355 and can run it on a 50amp circuit, welding 1/4" AL at 220A.
I would take the Synchrowave...
best to get your rig running and then when your tired of the carb, then you can build the BB or even just do a tbi swap depending on your cam. I don't forsee getting rid of the TB anytime soon , so hit me up if you want to go that direction. Hope the Big block works out and I'll keep an eye on...
Geeze your starting to sound lazy ;) You already have the part$$$$, the TBI is really not that much work. If your planning on building the motor (you should to around 550hp if you ask me :D) I'd go with TBI. Hang on to your parts and use the propane to get it going, then when your ready throw it...
Quite a jump to the BB! I often wish I would have jumped to an 8.1 vortec, but then I would have just gone with a Dmax. I'm sure you'll love the low end.
Propane is good, but TBI, especially the EBL has some advantages, by setting , timing, rpms, AFR etc...
You got the EBL parts, Run EM...
