That would be the truck I mentioned in my post last week. If I didn't already have two I would seriously consider buying it. If anything the motor would be worth what he is asking for it...
My neighbour down the street has one for sale and I told him I would pass his info along. Had a quick look at it yesterday. My wife would kill me if I bought another truck so I didn't investigate too much but based on what I saw...
The good:
3B diesel, apparently rebuilt not too long ago...
That sounds familiar. Did it have funny bumpers on it? Tube bumpers that stook out quite a bit? If it's the one I am thinking of the work was done at 4 wheel around 7-8 years ago.
If it's the one I drove it and was really impressed with the how the 13bt felt in a 60. Wouldn't have...
I suspect your cord sucks. If you have it plugged in it should start up no problem. I like the cords with the light on the end, that way you know for sure it is working.
Depending on how good your batteries are you should have been able to get it started today without it being plugged in...
I have no idea which day would work for me. My schedule is a mystery to me these days...
Usually I prefer to meet on the southside. That said, Don Cherry's would work good for me for the next month or two as it is just down the road from where I am doing my training...
Sorry....I couldn't help myself.
I find it hard to believe that is the same trail. Every time I have driven through there I find myself wondering what it's like driving through there during the mud season. Maybe I will get to find out next year. Perhaps, in the spirit of the LIBS, I will...
I usually drive through Calmar on the way to my lake and for the past couple years I have noticed a smurf blue 60 series (probably BJ) on the main drag running through town. I think I have seen it every time we pass through town on a Saturday morning. Figure he must be a regular at the coffee...
Man I wish I could have made it. Looks like you guys had a good trip. I have only been in that area in the late fall when everything is frozen making the trail much easier to drive. In fact, I don't even think I put the truck into 4WD last year!
Here is a pic of Wes driving through that...
I got it from the upholstery shop down the street from 4 wheel auto (Waynes Uphostery I think?). They had a few color selections, but I can't recall if they had brown. I believe they refer to it as trunk liner.
It looks nice, but it's a bit pricey in my opinion...
I saw not one, but 2 BJ70's in the Calagary Trail Home depot parking lot today.
One was a light brown and the other was black with a stripe on it (can't remember what color the stripe was, maybe red?). They were pretty much stock with a bit of rust on all the right places...
It's amazing what a bad ground connection can do to your lights!
I thought I had a good ground on my temporary setup, but it turns out the jumper I was using wasn't hooked up very good. I suspected something was amiss, but I didn't know how bad it was until we checked it all out at Don...
Looking for a replacement radiator and a fuel sending unit (I think that is what it is called, it's on top of the fuel tank) for my 87 HJ60. Got em, wanna sell em???
I'm going to get a quote on that, but I think mine might be too far gone.
Looking to save a bit of $$$ as well. I don't drive the truck that much and I don't know how much longer it will be on the road.
