    Guys this is a newbie type question. So please don't laugh! Is the ring on the m416 trailer meant to rotate? Mine doesn't but looks like it could or should.

    That tail piece and tailgate is "aftermarket" Mine is a 1966 Stevens which had a tailgate cut into the original tub.

    Is the pintle correctly sized for the trailer's "loop"? I don't get any of that banging and crashing you complain about.
