Also I know you said the steering wheel is trashed but would it be serviceable while I have mine recovered? I need to keep my cruiser drivable while they have it.
The 285/75/16's are the way to go. Lots of tire options and for all intents and purposes it is a 33" tire. At 32.8" you are talking your axle is .1" closer to the ground than a actual 33" tire. Your tire pressure will be a bigger factor in clearance than splitting hairs at this size. If you...
I have an '06 that I bought with similar miles and similar price. WP/TB, air pump, and a number of other items had been replaced at the 90k service just before I bought it at a shop I know and trust, which is priceless. Like LCPhil said the extra power is noticeable and nice on the highway. Some...
@MACFJ60 FWIW my wife likes my 100 better than her '11 Sequoia. The sequoia is nice but the 100 is a little smaller and she thinks the seats are more comfortable.
@Live to Ski you won't regret the switch. Well maybe a bit of nostalgic regret once in a while but every time you rally up to the hill you'll have a grin on your face. I moved from an '94 80 to a '06. I always felt the 80 was a tank but the airbags, stability control and other safety features of...
I have an '06 with 98k and a recent timing belt. It's smooth and quiet at 2k FWIW. Regardless of when it started pretty sure you are correct is thinking it is not normal. Sorry for the ghost hunt. What a PITA.
Those are all pretty similar Mileage wise and description. I'd pick your favorite color of the three and go for it. Or decide if one has attributes you like better, i.e. New tires you like or worn out tires that you want to replace and can negotiate with.
Doubt you will ever need them unless you are wheeling in deeper snow. On the highway just drive past chain up areas and be glad you aren't putting chains on your Civic in 20 degree weather.
If you head to the mountains in the winter much just get a set of all season tires with the mountain snow...
Ha ha ha I guess it is a matter of geographic perspective. Was just on Rhino Racks site and they sell a Ski/Snoboard and Fishing rod holder which looks like whats on his roof. Plus its winter here and we have skiing on the brain.
Great pic of the pups! So I have a couple questions.....
1. Is that a ski rack on your truck? vehicle right side first pic. Didn't realize there was skiing there.
2. You said 400k's to town?! Like to get groceries and such....so like 250 miles! That's pretty remote.
Welcome to the cruiser and hello from another Seattleite.
Not getting much to dry today with the way it is raining and how humid it has been lately. You may want to head to Fisheries Supply on 34th by Gasworks park. They have chemical dryers that absorb moisture from the air. Worked great when...
I would be concerned with having others ride in a vehicle with an inoperable or partially functional airbag system that you are aware of. I have a feeling that in the case of an accident where a passenger is hurt insurance companies may hold you personally liable. Getting sued is way worse than...
