yeah i guess i'll do that... :grinpimp:
Same. I'll be up in the rubies from the 8th till around the 14th. I have an 032 antelope archery tag also. I'm putting on a 4x4 event at my store (sportsmans Warehouse) on the 7th, so its in the middle of my hunting...
So far on the PM list i have done.
oil change
Slee speedo gear in the t-case
Purchased AL/Plastic radiator from Performance Radiator in Sparks.
changed out the front/rear/ and t-case gear lube along with Marlin Crawler allen head drain plugs. I also bought the HD inner axles seals while I was...
I took my moms old hair dryer and used it on the low heat setting to warm up the trim, then slowly peeled it off. I got most of the adhesive off, but had a bit of work to do with the rubbing alcohol. It's all off now, and my fingers feel like they do after a weeks worth of metal fab! That...
I knew from the start that I wasnt going to sell local no matter what. Im just glad its in a different state....
Not sure if you got my text earlier (i have verizon) but I called Performance Radiator this morning. They have the Copper/brass rad. for 273 or I could order the Al./plastic rad...
Thanks Ali. Hopefully its not that... seems like a big job to tackle from your thread on the FAQ page. I washed it all off, so we'll see where its coming from in the next day or so.
oh, and I wish i took your advise from last years Verdi snow trip sooner... "I had a Rover... it will only...
Took the tires off to mount the BFG AT's today. The brakes look great and have plenty of life left in them!
Here's a small pic of the oil leak up front. It doesn't look like a front main since the residue starts below the crank. Could be coming from the sensor? I'm going to pressure wash...
mine has a simipiar noise, but it sounds like it's coming from the area near the alternator. The alternator is new, and that can't be it... possibly the pulley directly below it?
That's a beefy looking bumper for sure! When I get some time I'm going to take the stock one off and take a look. I get my best ideas just sitting and staring at the truck (as funny as that sounds.)
And that last picture is hilarious! Haha
Thanks Jereme
That sounds pretty cool! My friend steve is doing something similar to his Defender 110. He took an ex military ambulance shell of an old 110 and is adapting it to the truck to make a small camper. He's the one I told you about who went on the 8 month expo around South America with his GF. 8...
Sounds just like the options you have with the Rover stuff.
The rear suspension looks like something you could fab up with some DOM & jonny joints. Didn't you do something similiar, jack? The front radius arms would be a different story.... What about front end geometry with the OME lifts...
Once all the PM stuff is taken care of, the only thing I really need to buy is a lift (I have my old winch, and will be building the rest.) What are you guys running, and how much does a good suspension lift cost? I've seen the different setups on Slee, but curious as to what you guys...
Changed the oil this morning. I got the Napa gold filter for $3.79! Way cheaper than what I am use to paying...
Hopefully I can do all the PM work soon so I can take the truck out antelope scouting! Archery season is coming fast.
