I've had the R1S since June, and the one pedal driving has really grown on me. In the high regen setting, the regen seems stronger than the Tesla S and Y's that I've briefly driven. There's definitely a small learning curve, but after getting comfortable with it I prefer it.
And i agree...
I remember when the 200 was released, there were some negative comments back then too. Toyota had sold out, it was a glorified highlander (and maybe looked like one a bit too :p). And the sage LC veterans told us the same types of comments were made when the 100 was released with IFS and a V8...
That would certainly be a move in the right direction.
But for me there's something really special about the Land Cruiser name. I've been in love with them ever since seeing a 60 series when I was a kid. I finally bought a 100 series in 2007 and kept it for 15 years, its been my favorite...
Lexus vs Toyota matters quite a bit to me. If I could get a Toyota Land Cruiser with the same specs and price as the base LX600 I'd be very happy. We went to check out the LX600 last weekend, and its an impressive truck for sure. But the huge grill and Lexus badge just doesn't suit me, I...
I've had the slee sliders for going on 15 years and they have served me well. The bottoms have some scrapes but no bends or anything so I guess they're pretty solid. I just looked online and the current ones look similar to mine, except they have a smooth glossy finish. My old ones have a...
I posted this in the 100 sub. Thought I'd post here too, since I see more built 80's around town than 100's.
Does anyone know of a shop in Fresno or surrounding area with decent land cruiser experience? I'm looking to replace valve cover gaskets, wheel hub service, stuff like that.
Thanks...
Thought I'd throw this question out there again. Looking for a shop that knows Land Cruisers, anywhere in California's central valley. I'd probably even go further if I needed to. I've tried to get into Valley Hybrids and Mudrak but they're really backed up right now.
You're close to a couple shops that specialize in land cruisers. Valley Hybrid in Modesto and Mudrak is somewhere near east bay if i remember right. If I was buying a cruiser I would rather see service records from those shops vs a toyota dealer. Those indy shops work on a lot more older land...
I had some noise coming from the front driver door. I lined it with off brand dynamat and its nice and quiet now. I'll do the other doors and tailgate when i replace my door lock actuators.
Hood louvers are on my list but right now I'm still saving up for more important mods like a full NightView retrofit. In the mean time I don't drive after sunset because it's just not safe.
Well for me it goes back almost 30 years. I was in college in socal, I was in the parking garage at the Sherman Oaks mall, and saw this beautiful silver 60 series parked there. I pointed it out to my buddy and said I really like that truck. He said duh of course, it's a Land Cruiser, and...
I have the same thing going on at the same speeds, and it started when i got K02's installed. I thought it was maybe due to the tire shop installing the DTs instead of the regular K02s. Mine isn't loud enough to be a problem.
And I still have the frame thingy installed.
