i do the exact same thing... if i let my foot off the clutch while at a stop light, before i take off i push the clutch in shift into second then shift into first... never grinds at all that way...
so every now and then i'll be drivin down the highway (usual speeds 55-60ish) i get off the free way... start slowin down, down shift into second and come to a stop. I push the clutch in and go to shift it into first and the shifter won't go left and right into neutral, it will only go up and...
i've heard the same thing... or a tooth from a gear breaks off, and get picked up and since there's really no where for it to go, the gears push out on the T-case causin it to crack...
that's the sickest rear bumper i've seen yet.... i like that rear rack upward... most just hang out.. this has got the departure angles for sure! CLEAN work!.... so i'll just give you my address, i'll send a check and we're good right??? lol...
interesting... i've never actually researched it out til now...and you guys are right! i retract my previous statement from above... seems like HID would be the way to go over all...

this is what i'll eventually replace my lights with..

finally! im not crazy... someone who has the same thing... it's not there when i start the truck but only happens once the rig has warmed up some. i always compare the sound to a tea kettle. it's annoying when you pull up to a stop light or let your foot off the gas at low speed.
my fj mechanic...
what speakers did you use in the door? i've wanted to replace mine too but not sure what type to get. 1 way, 2 way speakers, 3 ways etc.. with the small dash speakers would a 3 way speaker really be needed seeing as how the high end sound is coming from the dash speakers anyways..
thats funny this thread just got started... i JUST installed toytec's 3" unlimate lift and all pro UCA's. I drove around for a week before i installed the UCA's. fj seemed REALLY light in the front.. any little movement in the steering wheel and u'd notice it big time.. def had to work on...
have any of you guys had to "re-gear" your rigs due to putting 35"s on? Im sure it lags a little more but how much more? what gearing are you currently running? 3.73?
thanks guys!
thanks for the advice!.... i actually just bought a bug deflector.. supposed to create more down force with driving as long as i drive with the rear window open... much like the air wings on an indy car. Saving up to get a set of lowering springs too... Should make cornering A LOT easier...
Thinking about getting a aFe throttle body spacer.. wondering if anyone is using one and if they've noticed a difference with anything? i.e. gas mileage, horse power, torque etc..
thanks guys!
