It's been roughly 8 yrs since I went camping down there. I'm not planning to wheel at all, little nervous with stock fjc.
Which campgrounds are recommended? I'll be in a tent.
I wouldn't mind having a 70 series at all. I consider all of Land Cruisers work horses, 70 series is what really stands out in my mind as a good all around rig.
How many are running around other countries, I think they would take off here too. I would rather have an extended cab though.
It doesn't take 5" to run 33's on a wrangler, XJ, ZJ. 5" will get you enough room to run 35's. I will agree TJ's don't flex very well at all out of the box. Seems like Toyota got the suspension right the first go round, very little mods and your keeping up with well build rigs without much...
What about IROK's? They come in 36x12.5 R 16's, 37x12.5 R 16's ($249/each), no need for new rims if you really don't want them).
Seems like everyone that runs them is fairly happy with them (only heard on neg. thing said).
Let me try to clear things up. I wanna use the 80 to tow the XJ (4k lbs) on a trailer (1500lbs). Roughly somewhere btween 5500-6k lbs.
Brentbba - thanks for the help.
