My brake light stays on all the time. When I have the e-brake on it is brighter but when I take it off, the light is a little dimmer but not by much. Any ideas?

I had that loud buzzing noise too...Like as if I weren't in gear. it seemed to come from the tranny or splitter or tcase tho... I'm going to try it out again today. I'm hoping for a different outcome. If not, guess I should take it to a shop huh?
I believe I felt them engage and function correctly before I was stuck...How would I tell if they have been assembled correctly? If not assembled correctly, and once stuck, how could I have made them engage?
