I think all the crap about not being able to comply with EPA is just that. VW, BMW, Cummins, and others have done it Toyota can too. People who have never driven a modern diesel belive they are slow and stinky, etc. Well I can tell you it's a different feeling but a good one. I drive a Getta...
What was the nature of the recall on the Bridgestones? I got a pin hole on my sidewall - on visible evidence of damage inside or outside? I think it;s a warranty. Dealer says maybe.

Thanks for the info. My rig is MT6 and the dealer told me Friday that even the difference of 3-4/32nds could cause the center differential to overheat and I might be in fir a big bill! They recommend all four being the same. These are Bridgstone Dueler H/T 840's the tread after 40K is still...
Thanks Mikescruiser! I took it to a different tire dealer this week and the guy said he could "sneak it by the Bridgestone rep" and warranty the tire. But the tire I need is scarce around here and it will be another week before I can get a new one. I talked to the Toyota dealer today and his...
Hey, now that's the kind of info I was hoping for. Obviously, (well in my opinion) there is no evidence of physical damage on the outside. I too hve been driving for 40+ years, never had this baby off road and completely amazeded at the leak which the naked eye can't even see until leak detector...
Any help on this one will be greatly apreciated! My 2007 FJC MT6 with just a tad over 40K on the clock just had a flat tire last week. Stock Dueler H/T P265/70/17R tires. Just happened to be the day before I was going on vacation (flying) so i am just now getting to having it fixed. The tire...
Hey guys, as a former truck and foreign car mechanic, I'd stay away from S/S bolts as they will not rust but don't have the tensile strength of grade 5 or grade 8. I'd suggest using "Never Sieze" and you will get the strngth you need and they will never sieze up in the hole in your lifetime...
By mention ing the word "PARK" it indicates an automatic transmission. The issue I believe is with Manual transmissions. Does REMCO mention MT's?

DuneCruiser,
I have the same thing going on in my FJ! Mine sounds fine with the Sirius radio or a CD, but in FM or AM I get this little sound like a speaker is beginning to tear or crack. Like the old days when you turned up the thing too loud you could blow a speaker. Bugs me too. I wonder...
I hope this is a joke! I love mine and I have had Jeeps, Broncos (when they were really strong) and all kinds of 4X4's and this is the best stocker I've ever had. Hands down!
Anybody from Toyota to weigh in here?
Woodeye/Cryoboss:hhmm:
Hey man, that one might have been an auto or had the drive shafts removed or all kinds of stuff done to it. Check out your owners manual - That will answer all your questions. Believe that before anyone!
Good Luck,
Woodeye;)
