    I ended up removing the tar mat in mine but it was pretty hard and dry rotted. I just used a hammer, a flat head screw driver, and a metal putty knife. It took a couple of hours with 2 people working on it. I'd try doing a little bit of it and if it doesn't seem to come up easy just leave...

    It's supposed to be DBM but the PO put bedliner on it with a paint brush and I'm slowly stripping the crap off. The swap is going, I just started working on it again after almost a year. still trying to find a shop to put the motor/tranny mounts in.
