Con-Fer roof rack for FJ40. Original owner, has some patina (rot) in a corner, otherwise ready to go another 1,000,000 miles. I believe it is 5'x7'.
$250, I'm in SoCal, local pick up.
My brake switch gave out and I picked up a replacement from Cruiser Corps.
This aftermarket is much larger than my OEM. After failed attempts at shoe horning this thing in I asked Cruiser Corps. They recommended I use some vice grips for leverage. Well this didn't work at all. ANyone here use...
Hi everyone! It's been a long time. I'll be moving soon, so I finally had an excuse to get the cruiser up and runner.
After a long sloooow rebuild, I finally have everything back together and am trying to start the cruiser.
I put gas in, fixed a few leaks and everything feels great. Engine...
Hi everyone!
While bolting on my exhaust downpipe to my stock exhaust manifold one of the two mounting holes broke off. I'm going to try to get this repaired but...
Is it possible to remove the exhaust manifold without removing the intake manifold/carb setup?
Or should I just take everything off?
Hi everyone, I started removing a dual tank valve that I thought my dad installed in the 70's. I'm sure the old steel aux tank has crap in it and I don't have plans for a secondary tank at this time. But after looking at some manuals I'm starting to think this was oem. Anyone know for sure...
Hi everyone, I am currently cancelling the aux tank and switching valve my dad installed about 35 years ago. Could anyone tell me what size is the connector at the OEM tank? I'm referring to the connector sitting on the drives side of the tank. Thanks!
Also, what size bolts are use to connect...
Hi everyone,
My thermostat housing had leaked from the small nipple (this is on original F engine). I wire-wheeled, sanded and cleaned everything and did a few coats of JB weld and it looks much better. Previously it was severely pitted. No leaks from nipple, but now leaking along the side of...
Hi everyone, it's been a long time but am finally coming around to putting the cruiser back together. I having trouble understanding the wiring diagrams I see in my service manual. I am running points (no electronic stuff) on my 1F.
I am having trouble understanding what goes to the "+" and "-"...
Need help finishing my build. I haven't been able to get this done due to kids, work and family. I have tools, can pay or barter.
Here's whats left to do:
1. Finish wiring up engine bay (starter, batt, alternator, etc.)
2. Hook fuel and brake lines back up
3. Install new e-brake shoes...
Just bolting up the PTO shaft an radiator shroud. But having trouble seeing how the shaft can turn. If I bolt it under the radiator shroud it would appear to be unable to turn. Am I missing something here
I everyone, I'm finally getting around to putting my pto back on the tcase and have some questions.
1. Should I be putting bearing grease on the pto's gears?
2. Is the pto's gasket enough or should I put some sort of sealant?
Thanks!

Putin in new voltage regulator. Notice how my used Karen (o'railey) regulator has contents sealed with either epoxy or conformal coating which is good weather proofing. The one from cruiser corp is open. Is it overkill if u seal up the Cruiser Corp one?
I all who have done propane conversions, is it true propane can be stored indefinitely? I like the idea, but it's just a thought. I it can be stored indefinitely the it would make a good fuel during an emergency. Thoughts?
Cleaning my thermostat housing I noticed the pitting on the smaller hose outlet is looking pretty bad. Anyone think I can just fill in the putting with solder? I just want to make sure water doesn't leak, I do realize the solder won't really strengthen it.
Your thoughts?
One of the two left parts is the water temp sender. Could've sworn that the second one from the left is it, but it has nothing to attach the wire, justa flat pad. maybe it's broken? The item on the far left has a tall brass nipple, another water temp sneding unit???
hey everyone, am I missing something here?
I just cant get the 3 spd tranny with tcase to mount to block without the clutch hub falling off.
Everything is out of the truck to make it easy, but not working.
So how do you guys do this??
I'm in the middle of bolting on my 3spd tranny to my F engine. I put the fork on but cant remember how it came together. I don't remember this metal ring looking thing on the clutch fork. the picture shown is of the fork when I pulled the engine, but I don't have it now. so what is it?
