    Builds The '93 Troopy Hodgepodge

I believe there is a cover to go over the unused side. The sun visor doesn't use them. I couldn't find an image online, I can take a photo if you'd like. My only thought was provision for a snorkel with a different engine configuration, but I haven't seen that either.

Registry Post Pics Of Your Modded 7x Series

On the troopy, Long Ranger offer a 180 L replacement for the rear tank giving a total 270 L (71 Gallons?). There was an option in the past for a tank with a fuel/water combo but I can't find that available any more. In real world driving that gives me a safe range of around 1600 km, so 1000...

I also got tired of this, so I fitted a linkage arm to the large door. The tyre swing now carries the weight of the tyre but opens and closes with the large door without thinking about it. Still have the catch fitted which we use when travelling on rough roads. This was made easier as mine...

Builds Let's build a 79 Series from parts...

Next question is what is going above the grab bar. Are you going to fit the airbag module that came with the parts, or fit the upper glove box? And how do airbags work on a build like this? Are they all functional?

    Builds The '93 Troopy Hodgepodge

In Australia, when the first wide nose models came out, they came with the 1VD-FTV engine with a top mount intercooler. The scoop feeds cool air through the intercooler. In 2017 the new hood came with a larger bulge and a different opening. The two are interchangeable however there are a number...

First up, really enjoying the build. Keep the photos coming. :) All of the Australian specs use a H150 or H152 gearbox with the airbag dash, it shouldn't be an issue. Plenty of pictures around for the layout, you may also be able to get the floor plates.

Neopren seat cover, Aus. made, any experiences?

I've bought covers from these guys and the profiles look similar. General quality has been good, they've been in the vehicle (Troopcarrier VDJ78) for 3 years now. The fit for the front seats was fairly good, although they could have done with some extra straps. The rear seat was a horrible fit...

Japan is making a NEW 70 see attached.

Air conditioning. Every 7x LandCruiser comes to Australia without air conditioning, to be fitted locally as an optional accessory. It's also exceptionally rare to see a styleside rear tub here, and I don't think you can order them from the dealer. Majority are fitted with a flatbed steel tray.

That's about right, the limit here for an unbraked trailer is 750kg. The 2500/3500kg limits we are discussing are manufacturer ratings for braked trailers. Additionally, for trailers over 2000kg, the brakes on the trailer must be 'breakaway' type, such that they automatically apply in case of...

The caravan industry guide also shows a manufacturer spec of 2500kg. It also shows the official increase from 2500kg to 3500kg happened around 96, which I believe coincides with the brake upgrade on the 80s. See pages 101/102...

    Builds Troopie build

I believe the early 90's they were only rated to 2500kg braked. As referenced in the dimensions section here: http://www.redbook.com.au/cars/research/used/details/1992-toyota-landcruiser-hzj75rv-104648 Thanks for finally giving me something that may useful to contribute to an awesome thread...
