If coming to the west coast, planning on picking up and driving to Central Oregon where we will install ourselves. Could have room to pick up others from PNW.
Yep, ended up being straightforward, Aaisha sent an updated invoice. I just sent the transfer, which should get completed Monday. Sorry if this held stuff up, just a bonkers work week.
JK FW - Incidentally my weekend plans are finishing out replacing one side of our interior. I had built it in...
Received the invoice, but unfortunately it looks like we ended up with an unwanted table mod. Just emailed to see if there is a way to just have the basic flip up back area, and included a copy of our November email confirming no table. Really don't want to have to deal with a removable table...
I might pay the deposit and ask for a corrected quote. This is ours for reference. We don't want the table mod, just a rear hinged section. I'm going to be paying the deposit and then asking for a correction, just to keep things moving.
In SA the comma is the decimal. It looks like they did not put enough zeros in your hi line tent line. It should be 85000,00 or 85k for the hi-line and the around 3k for crating and 3k for the table mod so around 91k total.
Very perplexed!
This was mid figuring out the axle didn’t match the rest of the rig. Everything pulled apart and literally the first new piece to go in, the axle oil seal, being the wrong size!
Thanks Paul. Really appreciate your work here! I got an updated invoice earlier this morning before I saw this post showing the 95,000 for the hi top but no discount. If I don’t get an updated one in the AM including the 15% discount, I’ll copy you on the follow up.
I’ll get the deposit paid...
Just got back home from rebuilding our front left knuckle at a friends shop in Bellingham (@WandatheTroopy). Got all our parts from Cruiser Outfitters too. They were really helpful when we realized, only once we had the knuckle completely disassembled, that a PO had put an older HJ axle on our...
Working with my buddy @WandatheTroopy to replace the suspension on our Troopy this weekend. I’ll post more pics when we are done. Ran into a situation in the back that has me scratching my head. The shocks are 15+ years old. The springs (which were basically horizontal) actually turned out to be...
Not sure if this was already asked, but does Cassiem do any awnings or provide info on what awnings work with his pop top? I know Alucab has options for the Hercules, but also curious in other South African brands like the Bush Company and their 270 owning.
PO gifted us a hi-lift jack when we purchased our Troopy, however spouse has some reservations using it because of how dangerous we have heard it to be. We also have a garage floor jack, but it's just a cheap one with loose casters and it seems like a poor solution if we are out and about and...
Finally got the reverse lights working on the Troopy today. Last weekend had worked out that when a PO had switched the H41 transmission to a H55 the reverse light switch was not connected. Today I got to the reverse light switch on the transmission, a real knuckle bruiser getting through shift...
Yeah, we are in the same boat. Were expecting 1/3 of that cost and not thinking too much about fabrication and leaks. We are also going to pass.
Also, could you share the drive with the video?
