Resetting driver side window motor after replacement

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. It's been super-helpful. Here are a few (hopefully) helpful notes: * On BO-10, the FSM says to "Remove Door Belt Moulding." This is a total PITA and it turns out you don't need to do this to get the glass out. Just ignore this step. * OTOH...

Your Speakers & Why You Like Them - Morel's with Pics!

@rbrave Did you install your components with or without the crossover? I am at a loss on what to do with the tweeter wiring with no crossover, besides soldering it to the OEM connector. The how-to from Crutchfield only covers the lowers (which is very easy). Thanks for any info.

Your Speakers & Why You Like Them - Morel's with Pics!

Thanks rbrave. Makes sense. I've had this door off more times than I'd like to admit. Which component system did you purchase?

Your Speakers & Why You Like Them - Morel's with Pics!

Resurrecting this thread in hopes that someone can weigh in on these Morel speakers: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_210MAXIM6/Morel-Maximo-Coax-6.html I used the Crutchfield tool, and it was pretty overwhelming. I chatted with a support person and she recommended these. It would be super...

Rear Cargo Subfloor Cavity - Water Pooling?

I've been to the mountaintop. There are no more leaks in my roof. Thought I'd add some more tips in hopes of helping others. 4. With the rack off, take a close look at your *center* rack cushions. One of mine had some kind of deformity that let water through a penetration with no bolt. (Side...

Rear Cargo Subfloor Cavity - Water Pooling?

This forum is just insanely helpful, so here is a small attempt at paying back with my roof leak experience. First, thanks to @neoworm and @awesomeissquid for their posts here. Super helpful. In some other post there was a reference to the GE silicone; thanks to that poster, too. When I got...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Replaced the 3rd brake light and eliminated the absolute gusher of water that came in during every rain or car wash. A couple of thoughts/tips: * Do not follow the butyl tape advice advanced by others on this forum. Just get the OEM replacement light. Either your future self or a future LC...

    100 Series Air Vent Replacement

The Chinese center vent covers came and they're great. Perfect fitment and a slightly richer mocha color than OEM. Unfortunately I just looked and they are out of stock, but it seems like they come and go, and are available from other eBayers. $40, including shipping.

    How To: Stuck Sunroof Repair

I know this is not what you want to hear, but I am 99.9% sure the 3 98-02 parts listed by @dbfw (the OP) will work in your 04. What I am 100% sure of is that a full 98-02 assembly will work in a 03-07. I just did it for $200 from car-part.com. I would encourage you to investigate this route...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Man ... this is the first thing I did when I got my '03. So cathartic. Tip: it's easy to get these off without a heat gun, if you don't have one. Just wait for a hot day and keep the windows closed for a while. The only tough part was the center dash vents. The base material is different and the...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Replaced both hatch lift supports. I know this is a minor job, but this has to be one of the most satisfying bang for the buck things out there. For less than $100 the hatch goes up strong, stays up, and sounds great. A few things: 1. Really a big fan of Olathe Toyota in KS. Lots of...

    100 Series Air Vent Replacement

Good point, @uHu. Chinese eBayers are not known for writing entirely accurate product descriptions. This definitely looks like a 03-07 part. I'll try them and post the results.

    100 Series Air Vent Replacement

Has anyone tried these non-OEM covers from China? 2PCS Dashboard Air Vent Cover For Toyota Land Cruiser 100 LC100 FJ100 1999-2007 | eBay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/304732768545. All this forum wants is the cover, not the full assembly. The color looks more in tune with the rest of the dash than...

    How To: Stuck Sunroof Repair

Ned: I'd like to know how you got it back into the truck without successfully extracting the old drive cables. (I was also unable to extract the old drive cables after trying *really* hard.) EDIT: I think I misunderstood. Sounds like you were able to get the drive cables out of the frame, but...

rusty seat brackets/strikers have transferred rust to the rear floor

For context, I'm in the middle of two separate-but-related projects on my 2003 LC: replacing the sunroof cassette, and replacing the carpeting. The entire interior and headliner is out of the truck. When I took up the rear mat and part of the main carpeting, several of the 2nd and 3rd row seat...

Ah I got that part. Should've been more clear in my question. I was wondering what type/brand it was. I am about to do the same thing. Thanks.

Definitely looks ready for new carpeting. What is the foil tape you have over the old clip holders?

    How To: Stuck Sunroof Repair

If If there is a better how-to on this forum, I'd love to see it. I will surely have more questions later, but for now: * I can't read the name of that impact driver. Husky maybe? Looks super rugged. Can you recommend it? * Great tip on JIS bits. Are these pretty generic, or is there a...

    Door Speaker Grill Cloth Replacement

No bueno. You would spend more time taping off the panel than you would removing the panel. It's a 5 minute job if you follow the YT tutorial. And you would get an inferior result. If you are really interested in looks, remove the speaker covers and spray them on some cardboard in your garage.
