The hunting is an issue because it causes more fuel burn for no reason other than lazy programming. Reliability is not the concern. Downshifting for every single short overpass is a little ridiculous. Especially at sea level where I am.
I fully changed mine at 78k then did a drain and fill 15k later because I was towing regularly and thought it might be necessary. It wasn’t, it looked brand new, I plan on doing 30k drain and fills from now on.
Fluid is cheap. Transmissions aren’t
I went with the 2.5 Front springs and 1.5 in rear springs on mine. I also installed an ARB bumper and warn 12k winch. I have a decent little rake when not towing, but its damn near perfect with my trailer attached. Love the ride on these Texas roads. Still kept the cushy ride and firmed it up...
I just did the 1.5 lift in the rear and the 2.5 in the front (but I have an arb bumper and winch so it should be 2in) and its damn near perfectly level. I dont mind the factory rake, so I hope the front settles more than the rear.
This is with the KTT that I dont have anymore, with the hard top on I have 35 1/4 inches from the ground with 31s and 6in to the top of the tire to the fender
Pretty sure someone priced the HE panels and it was about $1000.... which is stupid, just to cover a hole
Edit: Just read the above comment, nevermind, looks like they wont work.
Yeah, I painted them now the rest of my truck looks bad...hahah, but nah, I am just going to wait, because I am getting another car soon, so that I can have something with less miles to drive while I am living in houston, and Thats when I am going to start all the work on my truck!
