I got Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 low beam bulbs in November and have been pretty happy with them. The lighting for night driving is much better. I drive a good amount on 2-lane highways at night and nobody has flashed me to dim my lights yet. This video has some other recommended LEDs:
No, the...
A lot seems to depend on the inspector and their interpretation of the rules. My inspector mentioned that I didn't have DRLs, but said that it didn't matter since the vehicle was over 15 years old which exempted it from that requirement. The only thing that failed on mine was that the front...
That's too bad, the pricing on that one looked pretty good. Do you find it too loud in the city, highway, or both? I want to find something that won't get too annoying on a long highway cruise.
Does the piping on the HP Diesel intercooler interfere with the viscous heater at all (if you have one)? I started looking at intercooler kits recently and it seems like a lot of them will be running pipes near to where the viscous heater is located.
Cool! Very clean and never seen a minidisc player in a vehicle before!
I believe that you'd still have one heater tee, if you follow the upper outlet pipe from the power heater back to near where it goes into the firewall. +1 on blocking off the EGR and cleaning the carbon out of the...
That's a good point about the spacers and the main reason why I'm not sure about them yet. I used them on my previous car for a few years to fit winter tires and they worked well, my opinion is that a good quality spacer should have a minimal (but not zero) impact on reliability.
Hi everyone, I’ve been reading and learning about Land Cruisers for a few while and decided to get my own back in the spring. I've always liked Land Cruisers and I needed to sell my car and get something more capable of towing. I ended up buying a 2001 HDJ 100 5-speed manual from Canary Island...
Disconnect them immediately before you damage something. I bought similar lights and had similar problems. The connector was wired differently than the OEM connector. I was able to rewire it correctly to get everything working properly, but I think the original bad wiring damaged my tail...
You might be out of luck if you have the new Apple M1 CPU. Unless there have been recent updates, it sounds like you need an x86 CPU to run an x86 virtual machine.
I found this information in another thread here. OEM is definitely the way to go if you want the smoothest riding torsion bars.
Torsion bar diameters:
AHC equipped: 26.2mm
Toyota OEM: 28mm
OME: 30mm
IronMan/ToughDog/SwayAway: 32mm
I'm in the process of buying a Land Cruiser through Canary Island Rover (Adam) right now. My main concerns when I was looking at importing a vehicle were finding an import broker and setting up the transportation. Adam has looked after all of that so it's been a pretty easy process for me so...
I have a slight preference for LHD, but if a good vehicle came up in RHD then I would not overlook it. I have driven a friend's RHD a few times and found that it would not be too difficult to get used to.
I've started doing research on Land Cruisers and am considering importing one from Europe. I found this one and am hoping for some opinions. I'd have to get it inspected over there and see some photos of the frame if I were to consider buying it...
