I’ve got neither one on hand, but just thinking outside the box. The rear bumpers on these are hideously large when you start looking at what it’s going to take to fabricate a “offroad” bumper. Big ‘ol fat ass bumper is the only way I can see it looking like. 🤣
I figured it wasn’t, but with some additional material, gusseting and fabrication, I’m thinking it’d be fairly easy…
I’m also thinking a Coastal Offroad DIY kit for a 1Gen Sequoia could be made to fit even easier than the M1….
It’s wintertime, my odds of someone giving me an opportunity to make...
Soooo…I’m wondering if anyone’s tried taking a Smittybuilt M1 rear bumper for a FJ Cruiser and DIY make it work to a Second Gen Sequoia…. I swear I’m not smoking crack… 🤣
Still working on my DIY skid plate…had to take a break during winter. Been burning in pieces and fixing things I hadn’t liked and been OCD’ing about all winter. :)
Yeah, there’s a little hose on top of the unit that comes loose/fails/breaks - God-only-knows-what that can allow moisture in.
Check out my video if you want - pardon the crappy audio soundtrack ( my first stab at a YouTube channel post😂) - you’ll see the breather hose.
Dodged a bullet so far. The TC oil doesn’t have much bearing on the actuators - if at all. But crappy fluid isn’t going to do ya any favors that’s for sure! Check your breather hose! You probably got the contacts to break loose enough to make the circuit connection they needed.
Unorthodox fix...
Thank you for the information - all good stuff to build the general knowledge base on this issue that seems to be spread across many models and years/generations of Toyotas. The micro switch and motors were dead ends for me. I even looked at trying to find a motor that was of similar form factor...
Ok folks, to bypass or not to bypass. That is the question. I want this truck for years and years to come. I’m of the mindset that OEM is best. But I also don’t have the time and money to throw away tracking this trucks problem.
Which pump is Bank 2 or B as it seems to be interchangeably...
Think some of the confusion lies in what vehicle you’re trying to fix. The OP I believe was for a 200 Series LC. The $1100 P/N that are referencing is the one I found when I researched for my ‘08 Sequoia. Calling a dealership - any dealership if you don’t like your local one would be helpful to...
I’m curious how to do this too. There isn’t a lot of real estate to fit another battery in the engine bay.
I’m curious if anyone has ever done their own, relocated one to the back somewhere/somehow?
I’m thinking of fabricating my own battery box, just not sure where to put in if I did…
Dude, awesome piece of knowledge on the JEGS drop in battery tray! That’s good to know! I’ve been wanting to get another battery etc. what sort of isolator should I use though? It seemed like there was a lot of cheap Chinese crap or super expensive ridiculous overkill things. I don’t winch very...
Lol, I have three older ones too. I’ve got a basketball team if we ever played sports. I’m just grateful they had a battery that would work for what I wanted. I had all the right wrenches and stuff except for the terminal was a little too tight, had to improvise with my sons plethora of...
